I'm so glad I watched SAC in preparation for the new show and rewatched the Oshii movie (kinda, I watched 2.0) I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it this thoroughly otherwise I think

The first 2-3 times I watched the Oshii Gits movie, I always felt I was missing something. Even after reading the manga, I had a hard time really grasping it tonally and thematically. Only after I watched SAC I started "getting" it kinda. The new show I've been loving so far

@Richmond_Lee Lucas specifically doesn't surprise me at all. Dude spent so much time and resources to move the art form into the digital era and got so much backlash for it, he's predisposed to be unusually open about this sort of thing. Scorsese surprised me, but they're all boomers after all

I'm always very glad a toku product from back then other than the big three gets some high effort love. If anything it's inspired me to rewatch the original movie, maybe even the whole "transforming humans" trilogy. I remember the H-Man being my favorite the first time around.

I finished #HumanVapor on Netflix today It was alright I think, as someone who's bad with both names and faces I tend to get confused in conflicts where it's multiple different factions playing against each other, so I needed to focus hard, but I had a good time.
