@GeoffShreeves It was Sky TV that advocated var and more use of technology in games for decades so that's not a brilliant solution is it. Technology is part of the modern world IF used respectfully, efficiently and properly.

@GaryLineker So football could be reduced to attacking players deliberately lifting the ball to a defenders hand (even if he's trying to get out of the way) and the ref is now obliged to give a pen. Nonsense. VAR needs a complete overhaul.
