Kyle and I had a really challenging existence for many years. But we luckily took the time to figure out our differences and that was something he instigated with a conversation in his bus around how we each managed our racing teams. I was super eager for us to get on better terms. But it was he who made the effort for that to be possible. We did some media together also to laugh through some of the things we put each other through many years ago. Most recently we had even been discussing him running my Late Model at Wilkesboro this summer. He seemed extremely happy and we had planned to meet up next Thursday to get his seat to the shop. He laughed over the idea of his fans and JRM fans having to cheer in unison during that race. Kyle was one of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history. No one can deny that. But he was also a father, a husband, brother, son, and a friend to many. My heart is broken for the Busch family. I will never be able to make sense of this loss but I am thankful that we had found a way to become friends.

I first raced against Greg Biffle in late models back in the mid-90s. Even then, he was a fierce competitor who never gave an inch. If you beat him, you earned it, and I have great respect for him. I saw that same determination in the tireless commitment Greg and Cristina showed while volunteering in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. While Greg’s legacy will always live on the track, the impact of the work he and his family did for those affected communities has reached far beyond racing. Our thoughts and condolences are with the families and loved ones of Greg, Cristina, Emma, and Ryder, as well as Craig Wadsworth, and Dennis and Jack Dutton, and everyone touched by this tragedy.

End of Watch: Officer Joe V. Graham, May 10, 1935 Officer Joe V. Graham was off duty and on his way home when he was involved in a traffic accident. Officer Graham noticed that the driver of the car was intoxicated. As Officer Graham attempted the arrest, the suspect began resisting and bit Officer Graham on the tip of his right middle finger. Days later, Officer Graham's hand began to swell as an infection set in. Officer Graham was admitted to a hospital for emergency surgery and had the finger amputated. A week after the surgery, Officer Graham's hand began to swell. He was admitted to the hospital but he died. He was 38 years old. #WeWillNeverForget

I am all for cutting gov costs, then and now. I'm even more for efficiency I would have a plan. Ready Fire Aim is not a plan. Cutting programs without knowing if they would have saved taxpayers more than they cost, or saved lives, is a mistake Tariffs, cutting programs, agencies and employees ALL AT ONCE, without doing an analysis of the impact on city, towns and states they impact, is going to backfire big time Some cities have 9 pct or more of their employment as federal workers. Colleges losing millions in funding. Gov contractors and grant recipients having to close their businesses and lay off everyone. Repeated in city after city. Town after town What do you think the economic impact on their tax base is ? What do you think happens to home values ? What services will they have to end ? What about the local businesses ? How many people will lose their jobs and homes because this was done ALL AT ONCE Cut federal government bloat in an organized fashion and it's great. 2017. Mark Cuban: Reduce the size of government by at least a third. Make it more efficient. Just a reminder that like so many other Democrats, Cuban was all about cutting government waste until Elon and DOGE started actually doing it.
