The hospital bill for infectious disease treatment in Russia: ₽0. Let me show you what they don't want you to see. There's a virus going around right now. And this is basically how the system works. If you're a Russian citizen, you have compulsory medical insurance, and if you need to be hospitalized, you don't get a bill afterward. You just get treated. For free. This is Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 1 in Moscow. The building is new, the rooms and equipment are new, everything is spacious and clean. The rooms are cleaned twice a day. Three meals a day are included. There's even a terrace where patients can go outside. And no, this isn't communism. It isn't even socialism. Turns out you can have universal healthcare without either one. 😅
