If a client on Upwork hires you on an hourly contract, let’s say $30/hr, and tells you to manually log your hours when you’re done, please be careful. Upwork doesn’t protect manually added hours. They only protect hours tracked with the Upwork Time Tracker. After adding manual hours, a client can take your work, remove their card from Upwork, and your manually added hours won’t be paid. Guess what? I have been scammed of $300 with this exact tactic. The client even called me “nigga” and said he would not pay me, with a laughing emoji. This is THE MAN OF THE YEAR. Alex Onyia is vindicated! He is my MVP. When he defended some of the children in his CBT Testing centers, he knew exactly what he was doing. Those children are on FIRE! Alex could vouch for some of them — because he knew that JAMB & WAEC are a walk in the park. Next time, when he calls out WAEC or JAMB, listen! Don’t reduce everything to tribe or Miracle centers. He has invested heavily in those children. I won’t forget when he ordered (1000 pieces of low cost — fairly used Lenovo Thinkpad PCs from Germany) in a hurry. He even promised to order thousands more! He keeps fighting for education. He fought for the students of UNN to have better hostels. He hosts Math Olympiad & trains teachers & pupils. He single-handedly put education back on the map. His advocacy has become an established powerhouse. Alex is global now! The Presidency are confused. They don’t know how to congratulate the children for winning 12 Gold medals & 3 silver at the STEM Olympiad in Rome, Italy. Congratulating the children could easily be interpreted as promoting Peter Obi. The world-class performance of the children is why the government must begin to invest in education & sponsor education tournaments. Their victory is why tribalism & bigotry must die for Nigeria to rise. Aso Rock would have taken all the glory. All they needed to do was reach out & bankroll the children. Congratulating the Geniuses is easy for Peter Gregory Obi. After all, education is his strongest suit. 👏👏

So if Alex Onyia didn’t decide to take these kids to Rome, you mean the world would not have seen us win gold? Some other country would have won and we would have thought they were the brightest on earth? Bad Governance is hiding the greatness of Nigerians. I’ve said on previous tweets that Nigerians are the brightest and smartness people on earth. No enabling environment to showcase that brilliance.

A lady on X sent me a message a few months ago. She had just finished university and needed help with internet data. She had a bad laptop, a weak phone, and poor headphones. She was managing, but not for long. I saw myself in her. Years ago, strangers on the internet helped me when I had nothing. So I decided to help her financially, even if it was just a little. At the time, she was trying to get into Virtual Assistant and Customer Support roles. I told her to aim higher. I gave her my router, bought her noise-canceling headphones, mentored her, and redirected her energy into the SDR/BDR niche. I paid for some of her courses and told her one thing: "We've lived similar lives. Keep going. Things will work out." She would cry sometimes. 😂 I'd tell her to stop focusing on the problems and start focusing on solutions. I shared my own stories, encouraged her, and reminded her that hard seasons don't last forever. She eventually got an onsite job. Two weeks later, she quit. Most people would call that a failure. I didn't. The job was draining her, and sometimes walking away from the wrong opportunity is what creates room for the right one. Then another challenge came. Electricity. No light. No stable power. Even with a remote job opportunity, she couldn't work consistently. Then she landed her first international remote job through LinkedIn. Base pay of over $500 a month, depending on the number of accounts she manages, plus commissions. It should have been the happiest moment. But power was still the problem. She reached out to people for help. Nothing. She came back to me and asked if I could lend her money to buy an itel PowerTank. I thought about it for a while. Then I sent it. Today, she has paid me back. Now she can buy whatever she wants without asking anyone. Very soon, she'll be earning her first million naira. Here's the lesson. I'm not rich. I don't have millions lying around. But every Wednesday, I host X Spaces to teach people what I know because knowledge changed my life. The only reason I invested this much in her was because she kept showing up. I saw her consistency. I saw her willingness to learn. I saw that she wasn't waiting for life to magically change. People are willing to help people who are helping themselves. You can't do it alone. You need people. You need mentors. You need community. And when life finally changes for you, receive it with both hands. Someone else's kindness can change your life. Make sure your consistency gives them a reason to believe in you.

I saw another clip from Temi Otedola and Mr eazi’s interview last night, they said they saw nine different doctors across different countries for just one pregnancy despite living in Dubai. Yet some Nigerian men had the audacity to make those rubbish comparison, some of these boys making that rubbish comparison couldn’t even register their wives in a good hospital. Some even force their wives to have vagina delivery against doctors warning. Anyways, I’m genuinely happy for Temi , the otedola’s are about to welcome the most adorable third grandchild . Dudun and fufu are the first grandkids of the otedola’s dynasty.❤️.
