We know precisely what every right-wing MP and all right-leaning news media in Britain would say if controversial billionaire George Soros had addressed thousands of British pro-Palestine demonstrators in London and claimed that a “dissolution of parliament” and a “change of government” is needed in the UK. Imagine if Soros had said: “I really think that there’s got to be a change of government in Britain. You can’t – we don’t have another four years, or whenever the next election is, it’s too long. Something’s got to be done. There’s got to be a dissolution of parliament and a new vote held.” Just imagine if Soros had then said “My appeal is to British common sense, which is to look carefully around you and say ‘If this continues, what world will you be living in?’ This is a message to the reasonable centre, the people who ordinarily wouldn’t get involved in politics, who just want to live their lives. They don’t want that, they’re quiet, they just go about their business. My message is to them: if this far-right violence continues, that violence is going to come to you, you will have no choice. You’re in a fundamental situation here. Whether you choose violence or not, violence is coming to you. You either fight back or you die, that’s the truth, I think.” Just imagine the response of the entire British and global right-wing establishment if Soros had said “the right are the party of murder”, referring to the death of Charlie Kirk (it now seems increasingly likely that the killer of Charlie Kirk, Tyler Robinson, had been radicalised by the far-right Groyper subculture even further to the right of Kirk), and “There’s so much violence on the right. The right is demonstrably the party of murder and celebrating murder. I mean, let that sink in for a minute, that’s who we’re dealing with here.” Then imagine if Soros had added that the British public are “scared to exercise their free speech” and claimed the Mail, GB News, The Telegraph, Spectator, Express, Sun and TakTV was “complicit in the destruction of Britain”. We all know that the hypocrites on the right would totally lose their shit. But because it was actually Elon Musk using this dangerously irresponsible rhetoric to undermine British democracy with inflammatory rhetoric, they fucking love it. x.com/docrussjackson…
