I used to not end AI sessions for days. Just to keep context alive. Then I connected an MCP that saves notes to Obsidian. Now I don't need to. Skills tell agents HOW to work. Obsidian tells them WHAT happened before. #obsi #aiagent

#weekendainotes Today early weekend notes are about scale. When I added first skills in our repo, it were skills for me and my team. I asked all the users of our framework to use them instead waiting our answers. What do I see right now? Users of our framework started to add news skills to support their tasks! I even used bunch of those new skills to deal with my specific bugs or PRs additional testing. AI agents are not only about new funny models but about supporting infrastructure aroung: MCP, skills, etc. In my case, skills work great, but we still plan to scale them to next level, for you case it can be something different. Why a supporting infrastructure is so important? The answer is simple: it provides more context to agents and it means they can help you to do your job more efficiently and with less errors. Less errors and more context means agents provide less generally correct but not actual for your context advices, when you revert somebody (my) PR and think "should've listened to my gut' 😎

To keep you updated about my AI Agents journey 😎 I added support of Copilot CLI to my Claude Code skills. Copilot CLI supports skills. As result, moved fully to Copilot CLI and Opus 4.5. I still use Claude in VSCode, but all bugs investigation tasks moved to Copilot CLI. I tried WorkIQ from Copilot CLI to build NSAT based on sentences in Teams' conversations. It was fun. I see, how people, who before just ping me and my team to investigate issues, just use the skills, have a root cause and can move to fix without us. We can spend more time to improve general reliability and stability. Which should decrease number of issues which we need to investigate... So... I didn't need to work this weekend... and went to the nearest national park. In reality, I never work on weekends the last 4 yeas, but it was so aligned with how helpful AI Agents are for me, I couldn't stand 😎

Inspired by Claude skills YouTube demo, developed skills for offline logs debugging, as it was really annoying to analyze them, even with custom PowerShell scripts. Now, I just write "Why X fail?" literally and go for my coffee ☕

Spending last day trying do deploy a good fix. Tested it, as I think, everywhere, but still missed one testing point. It's why rollout plans and processes is so important for Engeneering Systems. Though I can do a shortcut and now I'm spending another day to re-roll

Now I need to analyze a bunch of logs to find and fix issues. I do it manually, with PowerShell scripts, and it was to fun. Then I tried to Github Copilot with VSCode for that task. It still uses PowerShell scripts 🤘, but with that approach my productivity increased dramatically

I used to be not a fun of AI code agents but it was because I expected from them too much. They won't do your job for you. You still should be an expert in your area to have good results. They started to shine for me, when I moved to a project where only offline debug is possible

We've been living for more then 3 years in Belgrade and I found it very funny, that even I have learned English for much longer time, for doctors and similar visit I prefer Serbian -- I just don't know English words for that sruff 😎
