This week I said goodbye to my Bub. It’s hard not to be a bit shaken when we lose these giants in our minds and a giant he truly was. My favorite sparring partner who believed in me without hesitation. The only one allowed to call me Baby. Goodnight Bub. See you on the other side

This week I lived out a silly dream of seeing @JohnMayer live. I’m still in complete awe of the talent/heart shown on stage. I’m so grateful for the bravery of artists who share work & allow us to make it our own. Thankful for my girl & those who teach us to live a little bigger.

Pretty significant improvement in NASS @TexasWheat condition scores this week. Will be interesting to see if this holds when weekly reports resume in the new year. Fingers crossed for more precip in the west and an open seeding window for our friends further east.

@pdqbach55 I do believe creating a new tax liability at death/transfer makes it more difficult for farm families considering the significant increase in value of land and equipment and the proposed increase in cap gains rates. I'll send you more as a DM as I get time today.

My jaw literally dropped when I read this. According to @AFPCTAMU which analyzed similar proposals such as the STEP Act, 98% of representative farms would be impacted. The exemptions @SecVilsack references are important to consider, but wholly inadequate to truly protect farmers.

Keeping step-up in basis doesn’t protect farmers, it protects investors. The people who are going to pay tax under the proposal have never plowed an acre. wsj.com/articles/vilsa…

Well said @QShieldknight . The #TX13 race will likely come down to voter turnout. @WinegarnerTX has worked for years to represent ag by developing and promoting policies that provide value to this district. Let’s send him to Washington to keep doing just that.
