Sci-fi isn't necessarily about the prediction of technological advancements but rather the prediction of power imbalances. In a world run by corporations efficiency will always outweigh human needs. We live in a world where survival overshadows the human spirit and we are expected to give up parts of our soul in order to get by. At this time, it's no secret and we are all aware of this yet feel as if we are powerless to stop it. In Neuromancer, all of the humans completely lack self-agency and therefore the character growth we usually see in our stories is not present. They must submit entirely to the AIs directing their actions and using them as puppets. Full acceptance of this is really their only option and they don't even consider fighting back. Neuromancer and the Cyberpunk genre as a whole started with the famous tone setting quote: "The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel." Cyberpunk writers felt the Fantasy genre was too much like a fairytale bedtime story and wanted to provide stories that were more in line with the bleak realities of our world. The consumer walks away with the sense that there is no choice but to submit to the powerful corporations and AI overlords. This is a war tactic we've seen throughout all of history. This type of propaganda is one way they crush the soul and our natural inclination to fight for our human rights. Even when all odds are against us our soul can never be taken from us and must be handed over through free will. There is always a way to come out of the darkness no matter how hopeless things may appear.

I don't know much about Charlie Kirk. I didn't know who he was until the assassination but I found the memes made of his death to be in very poor taste. I saw high school students were using the audio of his death in shorts to show their prom transformation where they filmed their outfits before and after getting ready. That trend was not thought of by the kids but rather used to desensitize them to this type of violence and further political divide. Both sides celebrate violence when the person's political ideology does not align with theirs. They also heavily mourn anyone who is a victim of violence when their ideologies match. This furthers political divide and causes people to act from an emotional state. Hasan Piker is an shock value, extremist agent. His purpose is to stir the pot and get people on both sides riled up. He is very good at manipulation tactics and BSing. He plays on people's emotions and encourages his followers to participate in protests in an attempt to create political distractions. He is currently banned from certain countries for supporting terrorists and has been subpoenaed in the US for his participation in a Havana, Cuba March. He is a clown with a cult following. Yes, it is very much in line with the "Divide and Conquer" agenda. So while he is on stage performing his political theater for the average person, his handlers are pulling the strings and making real world decisions for us all in secret.

@Kns13942998Kns @Bo6_Marley It's very confusing but IMO they are the same "soul" living out different timelines. Those timelines happen to overlap but are still distinctly different due to the different perspectives gained from their experiences.

As a toddler, Alia plays a very important role in helping Paul gain the Emperor's throne. Before the age of 5, she destroys her family's # 1 enemy and leads troops into battle! She helps Paul gain respect of the most powerful people in Dune's galactic empire by forcing them to bow down to her family. Before she was even born she was suppling the most successful war strategies to her mother and brother. She was feared by all including her family who used and abandoned her. With such power, what could she have become were she to have been born into a nurturing environment? This character helps me relay what MK children can be like. Such power and awareness within a child can be very unsettling even to those who made it possible. This is why roles like mine were created as a Caretaker and Green Juice Administrator. This is a role I was placed in very early in life when I too was just a child.

This actress was chosen to play Alia because she "specializes in characters who are quietly 'wrong'" 🤔

⚠️ Don't read this unless you are alright with Dune 3 movie spoilers‼ Alia is a character in Dune feared by even the most powerful mind benders. She gained access to her ancestors' memories while her mother was pregnant with her. This means before her ego was created she was influenced by others who lived before her. She is labeled an abomination and since her existence is misunderstood, she eventually becomes one. Nature and nurture must be balanced because she is still human. Living a life rejected as an abomination led to their fears coming true when a corrupt ancestor gained control of her mind. Those who obsessed and feared her nature caused her to become exactly what they wanted to destroy. There are so many wonderful possibilities her power could have brought if she had been allowed to flourish through love instead of hate. We know this because her brother's twin children would have also been considered abominations if their loving bond hadn't kept them so grounded. Alia performed so many extraordinary positive acts before her mind was taken over. She only lost herself because she was continually steered towards a path of hatred, something all humans can become victim of. Some will argue it was the nature of her character along with her power that was a perfect dark storm. Even with all that power and understanding, Alia only wanted what all children desire... To be loved ❤

Learning alongside our children is a wonderful way to gain insight! We never truly stop learning and every time we revisit something we learn something new or gain a new perspective. When I was in college I was introduced to early childhood development through my Psychology class. This was a great introduction and later when I worked at the library I was able to revisit many of these topics in my training classes. When I actually worked with the children was where I was able to fully understand, integrate and apply what I was taught in the classroom. I also enjoyed helping my step-daughter overcome the challenges Covid brought during her early education years. Helping her learn to read and develop study skills was an amazing journey for myself as well. I was able to help her after going through my own challenges as a child and this also helped me connect on a deeper level with my inner child who was brave enough to grow and overcome those challenges. Continuing to revisit the basics is always something that can help us with more advanced studies and life in general! It's encouraging to see adults CHOOSE to revisit classical literature and engage in literary discussions outside the classroom. School was a good introduction for me but I found myself fully integrating the lessons later in life when I CHOSE to revisit the topics on my own. The Montessori philosophy is a great educational approach since it encourages a positive association paired with our ATTENTION in these settings!

Oh yeah, a lot of agendas! The Odyssey has been used in school curriculums since ancient times. It is considered the foundation of Western education and one of the first blueprints for the hero's journey. Children were taught how to read and identify vocabulary using Homer's work. Older students memorized passages or even the full text while studying ways to identify literary techniques and mythological references. The hero's journey is used to analyze the human experience which is something people from all time periods can relate to. This connects us to those of the past and future while giving us an expanded perspective of our own journey. The Odyssey is a major foundational block that has influenced Western culture since the beginning and it has never faded into obscurity. It is the perfect story for a modern movie if one were to study the effects of dumbing down and distracting society! If we were to compare the discourse surrounding this work throughout time you would see a significant decline in people's ability to understand it. This educational structure was once available to everyone but is now gatekept by elites. We have seen several dark age periods where basic education is not available to most people or it is kept from people in certain parts of the world. It becomes secret and valued knowledge only those chosen have access to. The knowledge turns into a myth or something deemed unimportant due to lack of understanding, fading from our minds over time. The modern education system is teaching folks WHAT to think not HOW to think. We have seen an inversion where unimportant conversations have become the most important or loudest due to the beliefs and ideologies being pushed in the collective consciousness. This leaves behind all the truly important Key points people don't even realize they are completely disregarding in favor of made up distractions used to manipulate our emotions. This is very symbolic of the humanity we see being handed over to machines more and more everyday. There is still hope though! Within every control system there will be born the hearts of rebels. Many people have been led to return their focus to ideas and symbols found in classic literature. Their spirit leads them to hold on to this freedom most children of today are being ostracized from through our corrupt system. Their CHOICE to direct their attention in an environment full of misdirection is very important as we still currently have the freedom to access and explore these concepts. Although few in numbers, these will be the leaders needed to face the challenges of our future. Our ancient ancestors and their influence can teach us so much about ourselves and help us with our current struggles despite seemingly different worldviews.

@JB_Conley I joined the Senior English class for a few weeks in order to read Frankenstein with them when I was a Freshman. I've experienced incredible adventures stepping through doors literature has opened for me! I hope children of the future have the same opportunities 🙏

@KYPrincessExile @PaulGoldEagle No, it's made up. He's still in a KY prison. The last thing I heard was that he developed cancer and went through a treatment that cured him. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets released early but we'll see.

@JB_Conley Silo reminds me of a book I read when I was a kid called City of Ember. The main characters find out the world above their failing underground city is livable. It's very similar to Plato's Allegory of the Cave.

Yes, but I haven't read the books. The 2nd season is when the rebellion takes place. Juliette makes her way to another Silo or bunker that only has a few survivors. That bunker also had a rebellion and the people wanted to go outside believing they were lied to about how livable the environment is. That was only part of the truth. The environment is still unlivable without wearing one of the suits. The people learned they were lied to and kept in their bunker so they took action without knowing the full truth. To me that's the most important takeaway because they acted on emotion after only receiving a crumb of truth which did not ensure their survival 🤔

@JB_Conley there is a similar weapon seen in The Three Body Problem called Flying Blade. Black Goo can take on many appearances and be used in different ways. These are sci-fi interpretations which are usually slightly altered while still holding a large amount of truth.
