@Lovely__Lizzy His death scythe launches forward, slowing down just before hitting the wall. It then slowly nudges the closet door open. "The hangers are inside," he responds, glancing over at his dark, dusty living room where a plush sofa sat, covered in garish pillows. "You may have a seat."

Why? A useless question, really. The sort of thing a child repeats endlessly until shushed by their parent. Why do anything? Because you must. Plain and simple. A supervisor provides you with a task – you complete it. A body requires sustenance to function – you feed it. Why

@Lovely__Lizzy dirty dishes from the night before properly in his sink. The crisp air from the outdoors likely masked some of the tobacco stench in the place. There was nothing he could do about the level of dust on every surface. He held onto his scythe and stood in the kitchen awkwardly.

switched on the radio and leaned back in his chair. The reaper ignored the broadcast for the most part, using it as background noise to hopefully slip into a quick nap. When the announcer mentioned the day’s date, bright yellow-green eyes opened in an instant. “Honestly.”
