Grading the Kelly Olynyk contract extension with Raptors: Did Toronto get it right? The Toronto Raptors signed Kelly Olynyk to a two-year extension. Let's grade the deal. The Toronto Raptors were a team without much of a real plan. Despite being nothing more than a Play-In team at best, Toronto held onto players like Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby for way too long, diminishing their value, before Masai Ujiri finally decided to pull the plug and enter a rebuild. It looks like the Raptors are attempting to build for the future around All-Star forward Scottie Barnes, but their trade deadline was a strange one. Trading Dennis Schroder for Spencer Dinwiddie's expiring contract made sense, but the other move Toronto made saw them trade away a first-round pick to the Utah Jazz in exchange for a young player in Ochai Agbaji who hasn't shown much at all at the NBA level and Kelly Olynyk, a 32-year-old center on an expiring deal. As strange as that deal was from the Raptors' perspective, it does make more sense now that the Raptors inked him to an extension. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was first with the details, reporting that the Raptors and Olynyk agreed to a two-year, $26.25 million contract extension, the max possible.

From the moment the ball was tipped in Sunday's marquee matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics, the Celtics were in complete control. The Warriors entered the day playing some of their best basketball of the season, but they proved to be no match for Boston as the Celtics dominated from start to finish, winning the game by 52 points. The tone was set from the onset when Steve Kerr and the Warriors made the mind-boggling decision to leave Jaylen Brown, one of the league's best shooting guards, wide open on the perimeter. It's safe to say that their bold strategy did not work out in their favor, as Brown torched the Warriors for 19 first-quarter points and five three-pointers. He wound up scoring 29 points on the day in just 22 minutes of action. Brown scoring a ton is nothing new, as the 27-year-old three-time All-Star is averaging 22.3 points per game on the season. His shooting has been down this year as he entered Sunday's game shooting just 34.8% from three-point range, but that doesn't mean you just leave him wide open like the Warriors did when he was in the game.

Russell Westbrook injury update: Hand injury likely to sideline Clippers star The Los Angeles Clippers finally looked like they could be the contender they were supposed to be with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Shockingly, the foursome of Leonard, George, James Harden and Russell Westbrook has actually worked this season. Russell Westbrook left the game against the Wizards in the second quarter with a hand injury. The team later confirmed he has a fracture in his left hand. Russell Westbrook injury update: Clippers star has fracture in left hand In a game as reliant on hands as basketball, a hand fracture is never welcome news. No official source has given an indication as to how long Westbrook is expected out, but it's likely to be a lengthy spell. A similar injury in 2014 resulted in a month-long absence. Raptors All-Star Scottie Barnes suffered a fracture to his middle finger on his left hand earlier on Friday night and was described by his team as out "indefinitely." It's tough to imagine Westbrook avoids that same tag. The timing of this injury was never going to be ideal, but it's certainly not welcome with a road trip beginning on Sunday against the Timberwolves and a Monday meeting with the Bucks. LA was already slogging through a rough patch, losing five of their last eight. Paul George was missing for part of that stretch but he returned on Friday and helped the Clippers dominate Washington for much of the outing. Westbrook has played every game so far for the Clippers. This will be the first time Ty Lue has to work out the lineup without the guard available whether as a starter or off the bench. He moved to the bench to help accommodate the other stars on the team and thrived in that role. LA will be looking for someone else to step up for the next phase of the season.

Chris Paul says his career will still feel like a success even without a title Chris Paul is in his 19th season in the NBA. While he still is holding out hope for an NBA title, he believes his career is ultimately a success even if that doesn't come to fruition. Back in 2005, his storied career began when he was drafted by the New Orleans Pelicans, then known as the Hornets. Since then, he has earned a Rookie of the Year Award, 12 All-Star nods, nine All-Defensive team selections, six steals titles and five assist titles. However, there is one thing missing from the future Hall-of-Famer's resume. That missing piece is an NBA championship. Still, Paul is holding out hope that before all is said and done, he'll have at least one NBA title to his name, whether it's with the Golden State Warriors or another team. But even if that doesn't come to fruition, Paul is still satisfied with his accomplishments. On the podcast, "The Why with Dwyane Wade," Paul reflected on his career and said that he would feel complete even without a ring. "Straight up, even though I think I'm going to win a championship before I'm done, yes absolutely. "I can't even process not winning a championship, but I love what I've been able to do with my career, absolutely," Paul told Dwyane Wade. "I probably was a lot more stressed about that once upon a time, but it's crazy how things change, life changes." Chris Paul satisfied with career, even without a title Clearly, Paul wants to win a ring and can't even fathom the idea of not winning one. But even if that doesn't happen, Paul seems at peace with what he's done with his career and is proud of everything he's been able to accomplish, as well as his longevity. "Like, my kids and my family are extremely important but, I don't know man, just to still be able to play the game, it's crazy here at year 19 but at year 12 something else might have been on my mind," said the 38-year-old point guard. "At year 19 now, I'm in the locker room and I'm trying to give to my teammates, some of them, just trying to tell them about perspective and not taking it for granted. At this point in his career, CP3 relishes being a veteran leader and somebody that young players can look to for guidance. Paul has certainly been a model of consistency since being drafted. If Paul were to retire without a ring, he would not be the first player with legendary status to do so. Both Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady, the latter of whom is already in the Hall of Fame, retired without winning a title. Over the course of his career, Paul has averaged 17.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 9.4 assists per game. He also has shot 47.1 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from 3-point range, and 87 percent from the line. His stats alone are enough for him to be immediately enshrined in the Hall of Fame when the day comes, and he's still getting the job done, even in his advanced age.

Hello all. This is my basil and herb garden. I want to share a tip with everyone. I am feeding them with banana peel water. Take 2 banana peels and soak overnight in a gallon of water. Water your plants with the banana peel water. It's full of potassium and more. You can use it on veggies, flowers, herbs. Does not need to be refrigerated. I keep a jug going all the time and keep adding water as I use it up. I also throw in peels as I eat them. The peels turn brown and you can discard them after you've added more peels. It's a great organic fertilizer. This is good on veggies, herbs, flowers and tomatoes. I am using it on my green pepper too. My spearmint plant is huge as well and so is my dill is waist high. I have tons of green cherry tomatoes and beautiful green peppers.
