@Stevros1988 @northernassist Yes that's probably it, despite the fact I did actually only travel on a northern train, the northern app refuses to let you buy a ticket <5 mins before departure so you have to purchase the next available, which would have been indirect. Still stupid though!

@northernassist No because I have an m ticket from Tuesday for exactly the same journey.so what happened between Tuesday and Thursday that rendered this impossible? #weird
