Yesterday, while my cousin Ibrahim was going to the bakery for work, the occupation's planes, without conscience or heart, bombed and killed him. They are truly evil.

Today is my mother’s birthday, and thanks to all of you, I was able to buy her a cake, celebrate her birthday, and create a beautiful moment that brought smiles to the faces of my family—my mother, my father, and my younger siblings. Despite the great distance between us, today I felt as though I was right there with them. We were all so happy in that simple moment. Seeing my mother smile on her birthday, with my father and my siblings laughing around her, meant more to me than I can put into words. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, because you helped make this moment possible and became a part of it. A birthday cake and a small celebration may seem like something simple elsewhere, but in Gaza, under these circumstances, creating a moment like this can be incredibly difficult. That is why it meant so much to me and my family. I am truly happy that, even from far away, I was able to give my family a reason to smile and feel some joy. When I see my mother, my father, and my siblings happy and laughing, I feel happy and strong too. Their smiles give me the strength to keep going. Thank you from the bottom of my heart—not only for your help, but for helping me create a beautiful memory with my family today, a memory that I will carry in my heart for a very long time.
