@DrSarteschi @somechickadee I would assume this is something only bylaw enforcement would be able to investigate and address. As we saw from how long it took Richmound to get health inspectors in I wouldn’t expect an especially quick response. Plus, it’s hard to prove that it isn’t temporary visitors.

@cuddleyjo @DrSarteschi Deportation hearings can take a long time. They first need to make the decision if criminal charges will be laid, and if there will be charges then that has to occur along with sentencing, etc. Deportation is the last step and only if there is cause. Visiting a cult isn’t cause.

@VJShordee444 @DrSarteschi She has to live where the courts tell her to while on bail, so she gets to decide if she will make things even more complicated for herself or not. It’s fair to say that violating bail conditions is a quick way to reduce sympathy among the judge and jurors at trial.

@Kindheartforall @DrSarteschi As best as I’m aware from what has been said about her over the years, she is a Canadian citizen and no longer a citizen of the Philippines. So no, Canadian law does not allow deportation to where they have no right of abode.

@ColleenBreitkr1 @DrSarteschi The judicial system assumes that most people should have the capacity and choice to make their own decisions, and deal with negative consequences. The bar is (rightly) set very high for charges such as counselling to commit a crime, so it’s on the follower to know better.

@DrSarteschi @nutraxfornerves Protected B is also used when there is a combination of personal info such as address and more sensitive info such as a SIN number. Basically what you need for identity fraud. They enclosed a copy of the correspondence so I assume there was something in that.

@A1976Chris @VaxxersAnti Also worth looking for Furikake, which is a Japanese term for seasoning mixes meant I be sprinkled on rice. I often use a mix made with shiso (sorry, not sure of the word in English) to make rice balls as a to go snack.

@VaxxersAnti I tend to opt for Kikkoman, or any stuff imported from Japan as I can read the labels. Any Asian supermarket will have a larger variety of light and dark soy. Still, definitely know friends who grew up in rural towns where this was the only soy sauce brands they had as kids.
