Hands down one of the most intense and best scene of the episode. The Lioness team vs Armed drones was ABSOLUTE CINEMA.The way they pushed into the base under nonstop fire, taking down drones while advancing, was pure adrenaline

@BEASTgroyper I still wish they would make good games, and multiplayer microtransaction myopia is one of the cancers hollowing out their studio like it has for others. Perhaps it is a foolish wish.
RDR2 has aged worse than most games. Plague-like allocation of resources into a dogshit lobby-based multiplayer component duct-taped onto an unfinished singleplayer experience a lot thinner than you remember. One of the most rose-tinted videogames ever made.
A lot has been said about gun and ball gamers, and they are definitely bad, but I prefer them over their slightly more evolved cousins the "TLOU changed my life" gamers
@FordsEarl1740 Yeah. The smaller scale of older games rendered this feeling more muted but it's on full display in their more modern titles. The Rockstar formula hasn't fundamentally changed in like twenty years, it's really quite stale now.
@BEASTgroyper Rockstar cannot suffer enough for the Sharkcash microtransaction cheatengine nightmare they've turned their multiplayer lobbies into. GTA IV & RDR1 were utopian in comparison.
@BEASTgroyper The sum total enjoyment value in RDR2 is doing sick quickdraws with a Colt Navy or a Mauser in custom cowboy gear that starts to verge on homoerotic. That's about it.
@BEASTgroyper It's enjoyable like GTA IV is in that the civilians are fun enough to ride around and brutalize. They & modders have spent enough time making the gunplay from visuals, sounds, weapons & NPC behavior that it really is the best 1880-1899 gunfighting sim out there.
Arthur engaging in hours of exposition via an admittedly remarkably good internal monologue hypnotizes the audience into thinking there was much more here than there actually is. If this internal monologue at all matched what was happening on screen, it might be more coherent.
There is zero character development in the game whatsoever, minus what I'm pretty sure is the exact same nun from RDR1 playing the exact same role she played in RDR1, except for Arthur. The dialogue has the same mockable self-fellating writing as TDKR, with similar edits of it.
There are maybe a dozen "reoccurring character" side mission chains and they all have the same "character development structure": "Hello, I have tuberculosis." -> *dies* -> "Hello. 'memba my friend? The one with tuberculosis? Yeah, he died. Of tuberculosis." This amazes the FYP.
Even criticism of RDR2 as chungus libtard preachy falls flat. Lenny appears once then dies. The KKK are a six man random encounter, less memorable than your average RNG O'Driscoll camp. Zero characters develop at any point, not even Arthur outside the forced Strauss missions.
@gizordinree This is exactly what prompted the tweets. I want whoever designed that & signed off on that flayed, flogged, drawn, quartered and crucified for a public audience.
It should be discussed more how the Wikia/Fandom site has been completely and utterly ruined, it's almost completely unusable on mobile without completely turning off your connection to the Internet. Full minute loadtimes, auto-refreshes to load ads, popups, full page ads.
@BEASTgroyper Even my niche wikis like Sarna have suffered from this. As you say, the standardization preceded the shit ad rollout by just long enough to provide plausible deniability.
I'm actually impressed that Wikia has managed to create the worst website in the history of the internet, have continued to worsen it for over 10 years, and stuck around.

The last half of the game is viscerally unfinished and thin compared to the first half of the game. John's portion seems more like an afterthought, given that New Austin requires a multi-gigabyte partial conversion mod just to match RDR1's New Austin and fill in missing content.
