@AnnGagne This is interesting. Would love to have a conversation on how to make a better UI choice. I say that because I've been a part of conversations where accordion menus were added as a way to increase the size of UI components for those with visual impairments.

@nixcraft Could it be doing RPN? In that case, the order of operation would be 2+1=3, then 2*3 = 6, and then 6/6 = 1. I know some calcs from those ages used RPN. Heck! I hope I even remember it correctly as RPN (reverse polish notation).

@guywwallace LOL! Actually, it is all about worker grit! OR... maybe what we need is microlearning for beads. OR... maybe blended bead learning. No! I've got it! Incentives for top bead performance. All joking aside, you are so right, and these are lessons from Deming I wish we used more.

@clarkaldrich Just a thought, perhaps you are being too narrow. Militaries (as just one example) do sim-based training regularly. Some apprenticeship programs use similar techniques. I think there are great sims you could ref, and I think you deserve to be the 1st PhD in sim design.

What an absolute disaster @HomeDepot. First answer was delivery on Mar. 30. Then, Apr.4. Then the logistics comp has it on Apr 4th. Then delivery 10a-2p on 6th. Then, truck broke down on 7th. Thanks for absolutely horrid treatment. Fool me once. Never again!

@oraclebase Just an FYI, that bit was apparently added in the 21st century. However, so apparently was the dismissive "master of none" as a later addition. So, it was certainly not as dismissive as it is often intended these days. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_of_a…

@surveyguy2 I would try to convince them to simultaneously take up a leadership role in a service or non-profit organization. Nothing will teach you how to lead like leading people who are not getting paid and can leave without notice. It exceeds any book, because it is real.

@timbocop Google, "no significant difference online learning". Research has and continues to prove that there is no significant difference with online learning. However, bad instructional design or delivery, whether f2f or online, is still bad. I've wanted to walk out of bad classes too.

@snapsynapse Unlimited, but I implemented a cooling-off period (2hrs) between retaking the assessment. Unlimited, because I care that they learn not specifically how long it takes them to learn. Cooling-off because it was the only mechanism I had to encourage learning over guessing.
