People are severely underestimating the data flywheel effect and self recursion moats the frontier AI models have by now. Gonna be extremely difficult to break away from that. Data Flywheel: A self-reinforcing loop where more usage of an AI model automatically generates data

The Tool Was Always A Proxy This is the uncomfortable part for a lot of software companies. Most software tools are proxies for outcomes. Photoshop is a proxy for image editing. Excel is a proxy for calculation, modeling, and structured thinking. PowerPoint is a proxy for communication. An IDE is a proxy for software creation. A CRM is a proxy for customer workflow. A project management app is a proxy for coordination. People do not fundamentally want software. They want the result. They want the edited image, the working model, the clear presentation, the deployed app, the updated customer record, the finished report, the decision, the insight. Software existed because humans needed an interface to produce those outcomes. AI compresses the distance between intent and result. That one sentence is the entire revolution. If I can describe what I want and an AI agent can generate the image, write the code, build the deck, create the spreadsheet, update the database, test the product, summarize the meeting, and deploy the app, the old tool layer starts looking very fragile. This does not mean all software disappears tomorrow. That is not how technology works. Old layers stick around for a long time, especially in enterprise. Systems of record, compliance, permissions, trust, data ownership, and integration matter. But a lot of software is just scaffolding around missing intelligence. Once intelligence arrives, scaffolding gets removed. Software is decaying.
Read the last sentence as - ..replace and improvise them by order of magnitude.
AI is the *tool* Let me explain - Current state of AI requires it to be integrated with existing tools to power them to the next level. The tools add little value and AI does the power lifting. Future versions of AI will achieve what these tools do as well and replace them.

It’s not surprising the leading AI companies hiring aggressively but to create tools that automate more and more to reduce more and more jobs. Productive tools increase jobs yes but automation reduces them. At this point we should have really identified which *new* jobs are getting created by AI.

AI is the *tool* Let me explain - Current state of AI requires it to be integrated with existing tools to power them to the next level. The tools add little value and AI does the power lifting. Future versions of AI will achieve what these tools do as well and replace them.
