Yeah because the criticism goes out the window when a majority of the people voicing that they "don't wanna pay $80 to $100 and get bent over" buy the game anyway. It's evil corporate shilling to be honest and say you legit don't care about the price or the lack of a physical disc, but you're actually valid if you at least "speak up" about it while still not caring enough to not buy the game at all.

It's not the greatest comparison because Silksong isn't even remotely close to the scale of GTA 6, and the scale is kinda the entire point xqc is getting at. At the same time, the first part of xqc's point is also shit though. Nobody would complain. He's right in saying people would probably accuse the game of being a low quality product if they saw a low price tag, but nobody would actually complain. The rest of the point is valid though. The consumer is very stupid, and companies know. After the initial reaction of "wtf x price is insanely high," the average person's thought process then turns to "well high price must equal good." It's why overpriced shit all around the world is successful. Tourist traps, brands with big names that don't even use products that justify the cost, etc. That is why he says a higher price tag will bring more hype. It's a pretty basic but sad psychological phenomenon. Again he's still wrong in saying people would "complain" lol no real person would. I imagine he's just exaggerating the concept of expectations being attached to a price tag, which is a very real thing seen in everything in the world.

He's 100% valid here. All he's said is that he doesn't care, and he's calling out those that say they care about this but are still going to buy and play the game. These types of people are the most annoying in any space. They exist to go "x is a major problem and I have to speak up on it, but I don't care enough to ultimately not support the product/company because I still like it," followed by calling out anyone who says they don't care. It's always defended by the same "so you can't criticize something you like??" take when nobody says that. The problem is that one level of not caring is treated as superior to the other. This happens in everything and it's a timeless pattern. It's like when people called out Nintendo's business practices and prices only to buy a Switch 2 or Mario Kart World because they still like the product. Or Genshin Impact players calling out designs for racism/misogyny/etc., only to still play the game every day. These are the kinds of people being talked about.

Whoever made this completely missed the mark. You're asking for players to overachieve in a game that provides virtually no incentive to do so, just like...all the other games mentioned here? Nothing said here applies to ZZZ exclusively, which is why it's pretty delusional to attribute it to ZZZ's lack of popularity compared to the others. Casual players hardly interact with anything close to the "ceiling" in any of these games... Wuwa casuals drool at their keyboard over something as simple as quickswap. HSR casuals shit their pants at the mere concept of sustainless teams, and that's not even close to the ceiling in that game. I don't think a GI casual even knows what snapshotting is or the idea of generating particles for the team, and those are simple concepts too. Satisfaction for a majority of people is tied to reaching the minimum requirement. This satisfaction is reinforced in these games by pull currency being attached to the minimum requirement, followed by little to no rewards for anything further. How Pokke wants to play ZZZ is how literally anyone else can and 100% does play the other games.
