Something I’ve noticed over time: As people rise in social status, they start filtering who they respond to, how quickly they respond, and how open they are, largely based on the other person’s status. And that bar keeps moving. The people who made the cut six months ago

Intelligence is Pareto distributed. Intelligent people don't want to unnecessarily associate with low IQ idiots. It's a waste of their time and energy. Isolation is often a better choice for them
