Got back from seeing Masters of the Universe. It was so much fun. Jared Leto’s Skeletor stole every scene he was in and was the over the top villain Skeletor was in the cartoon chewing up scenes and some of the greatest lines. It’s definitely a movie aimed to a younger audience and family but it still had some adult innuendo humor for the adults. It has a cool cameo in the movie and another funny one during the end credits. The actor playing Adam/He-Man while not huge was great in the role. It poked fun at the current social climate with how people are and act and how we have to be on egg shells around some people. The movie wasn’t woke or girl boss like Midnight’s Edge Tom Connor stated. Teela wasn’t the focus like he insinuated. I don’t know what movie he watched but he clearly missed it. Skeletor screw were all awesome looking even a call back to the 87 movie with Karg. Travis Knight is 2 for 2 with me. He made Bumblebee and MOTU a love letter to the fandom and nailed it. He needs to be given Thundercats next or a much wanted sequel to Masters. I give it a solid 8/10. It will be a 4K buy for me too.

@Drumdums This film was shockingly good and I want a sequel and am not even aware of the masters of universe lore cartoon was before my time but this felt like the Barbie movie for men. Great analyzation on what it feels like being a man while also feeling like Saturday morning cartoons.
