This is an absolute travesty and must be fought tooth and nail. What a nightmare. Imagine having to register yourself (driver's licence, full legal address) just to publish a website. Absolute shame. So bad for users, so bad for devs. Everyone looses.

The best launcher on Android by a mile is @lawnchairapp I have no idea why someone would use any of the stock launchers anymore. You don't even need to get it from the Play Store you can get the APK directly from a ton of sources. lawnchair.app you won't go back

@StephenDeLorme Flutter to me always feels like it's about to get dropped by Google. It's on continuous life support. People have forked it because its development team is so limited and unresponsive. I just... don't see it surviving the decade. Native Swift+Kotlin, _or_ KMP. That's my answer!

@StephenDeLorme Note that the question is hard to answer directly, because you often cannot separate the UI from the business logic of your app. So while Javascript (RN) _might_ be an acceptable way to build UI, it's a lower-tier choice for building your entire app by a country mile.

I think wallets should show fees in sats per Weight Units. It's intuitive even for beginners. You can imagine transactions have weight, and that has a unit. Makes sense. "Virtual bytes" on the other hand? Your first thought is wtf is that and how is it different than a byte? 👎

@BitcoinWifey @BTCComoxValley This is the exact use case for @padawanwallet! Check it out. Sends you Signet coins on startup, you use them to do the lessons, send coins to friends, learn a bit, break the bitcoin ice so to speak. Learn about addresses, fee rates, mempool. Android now, iOS app in the works...

Not yet ready unfortunately.

@darosior @stevenroose3 I am not in a position to contribute to bitcoin core directly, but I can say that I am actively working and dedicating time to this, every week. @stevenroose if you end up building Erk with @benthecarman I pledge some of my time to try and make it into a PoC Android app.

@darosior @stevenroose3 I'm just one data point of course, but since signing the letter I have dedicated a block of time every week to the furthering of the soft fork proposal, currently building a proof of concept Ark wallet using bark.
