Dyson has a factory in Malaysia that runs 24 hours a day and puts its vacuums through “relentless testing”. Each device goes through 150 tests including: ▫️Dropping 100x from 1 meter high ▫️Vacuuming 750 miles of surface ▫️Running motor non-stop until it dies How long does it take? The typical testing cycle is ~600 hours. Few manufacturers — outside of auto and aerospace — are this rigorous. This exacting process has been done on over 20 million Dyson units sold (the company now does $7B+ a year). It’s also objectively one of the funniest things you’ll ever see.
