FIFA offering a £40mil incentive for member associations to vote a certain way threatening financial loss if they vote against is practically indistinguishable from a bribe. Surely governments and organisations such as the EU should be scrutinizing this.

@DEMSGOPRCROOKS @ThePalaceWay How anyone with an ounce of common sense can come to this conclusion is beyond me. No club so late in the transfer window allows key personnel to leave without a replacement being signed. This really isn’t difficult to grasp!
@HLTCO It’s really worrying. We are something like the 6th richest club in the PL when looking at the collective net worth of the owners, but time after time we seem like we haven’t got two pennies to rub together! After last season we should be on the up, but seem to moving backwards!
@dannypea @MiguelDelaney I disagree. When Textor bought into the club, he hadn’t yet bought into Lyon. So at the time of him coming on board there was no issue. You could argue that they perhaps could have written a restrictive covenant in stopping him buying into another club perhaps, buts that’s all.

@dannypea @MiguelDelaney He didn’t have any controlling influence and that’s why he was trying to sell. Although he owned 40+% his voting rights were only 25%, with SP having the deciding vote. Textor admits that he made a poor deal and that frustrated him hugely. But club couldn’t force him into a BT.
@MiguelDelaney @dannypea I understand why people think Palace have messed up here, But the club could not compel Textor to put his shares into a blind trust and there is no way he was going to do so whilst in the midst of selling his shares, as he’d have lost control of the process.

Textor was actively trying to sell his shares for months, so would have lost control of that process if put in a blind trust.
