@WarMonitor3 Walking away is not an option. The global economic meltdown that would follow will hit US hard regardless of any protection moves like US ban on oil export. If Hormuz remains blocked republican chances in midterms are bleak even if they do not look good now.

@olafurpall80 @agingroy Mainstream science largely rejects the concept of programmed death. While I agree that aging can be controlled by both mechanisms, I believe the easiest target is the programmed component, as fixing evolutionary "wear and tear" seems significantly more difficult.

@engineers_feed much more interesting is what happens when conveyer moves in the direction of a plane start. Wheels rotate backwards due to conveyer and forward due to relative movement of plane to conveyer. plane will lift off with still wheels.

@lehtinenmarkkua @PToveri There are talks but I am afraid it is a copium. A tanker can be hit be a single Shahed drone launched anywhere in Iran in 1000km from Hormuz. Ships won't help. You would have to conquer the whole west coast of Iran and put there massive a anti-drone defence.

@lehtinenmarkkua @PToveri Exactly. Therefore the only option for the rest of world is to cut the deal with Iran, pay 1USD extra for barrel. We haven’t asked for it but Trump enforced this on us. All the other options are either wishful thinking or improbable.

@PToveri I have bad news. To unblock Hormuz without an Iran’s consent is not possible even with thousands of ships. You would need a ground invasion of 1.5-2M troops and the losses would be pretty high.

@TheDailyShifts This is mission impossible. One cannot unblock Hormuz without Iran. You would have to control any place in Iran within at least 750km from Hormuz (if not more). Shahed can be hidden in any barn and launched manually within minutes.

@EDDanie86907092 @DanielJHannan This is naive. Oil market is global. If price goes up in Asia, it will go up in the US. 2-3 months with 200$ per barrel and you will change your opinion on Hormuz.
