Just curious how @JOCOHealth is calculating the rolling 14-day average. These are the only two ways I can think of and neither matches the current number (currently listed at 10.5% as of 3pm today). Any thoughts from those smarter than me (lots of you)?

@jhailos @PatFlynn314 @JOCOHealth John - if you read the FAQ I screenshotted, @JOCOHealth specifically addresses they (supposedly) don’t do it this way because of the discrepancy in number of tests per day. Also, I fixed my data points yesterday and neither method worked.

@MrCarter_Edu @JOCOHealth I totally get not using TODAY but today is the 26th. So they are not using YESTERDAY (25th) either. Not a big deal as it doesn’t change the data in reality but it is misleading/a day late IMO. Great discussion. Hoping @JOCOHealth weighs in soon.

@MrCarter_Edu @JOCOHealth Also, in switching out the data points, I am calculating 10.3 and 10.4 with the two methods. I would love it if @JOCOHealth could settle all this for me. Who said math isn’t used in life?!

@MrCarter_Edu @JOCOHealth Chris - thanks for the reply. I still haven’t heard from @JOCOHealth. So which method did you use? Average of + tests compared to the total tested or the average of the daily % + over 14 days? Seems misleading to not include yesterday’s data in the average but put it on the graph
