It is only in Him that we find our complete rest from the cares of the world, from the sorrows that plague.

It is hard to admit, but I have often treated God’s will like something fragile in my hands instead of something safe in my Father’s. A decision comes.. one door opens, another closes and the silence between them gets heavy. I pray for wisdom, then turn the prayer over in my mind until even my asking feels uncertain. I want God to lead me, but fear gets loud in my chest. There is a kind of weariness that comes from trying to read God’s mind while neglecting what He has already said. Romans 8:14 steadies me: “For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Sons. Daughters. Children. The Spirit does not lead strangers through a maze. He leads sons and daughters through their Father’s world. His guidance is not fragile. It does not shatter because I am tired or afraid. God is a better Father than I am a follower. The Spirit leads His children first toward Christ, away from sin and self-rule, into the glad freedom of calling God Father. Scripture presses into the conscience, as the heart grows warmer toward obedience. Wise counsel, ordered circumstances, closed doors, open roads and quiet clarity in prayer may all serve His leading, yet every true leading agrees with Scripture and moves us toward holiness. He will never guide me where His Word forbids me to go. So I can stop treating God’s will like a code and start trusting Him like a Father. God’s leading often begins with an open Bible, a humbled heart, an honest confession and one obedient step. The whole road may remain hidden, but the Shepherd has never lost a sheep. The fog may sit heavy over tomorrow, but my Father already sees through it. He knows the valley. He knows the turn. He knows the trembling child. And He knows how to lead His children home.

@ShadowofEzra To get a Real ID; marriage cert w/ a gold star, 2 forms that prove my address, a SS Card and a Birth Cert and a photo ID. plus 10yr BG check. But wow that passport photo does it all. Gov. has all that info in data form, why do I need to carry any of it to get a Real ID. Crazy!
