The American Agriculture Movement (AAM) was a grassroots farmer-led organization that emerged in 1977 in response to low commodity prices and the 1977 Farm Bill. The AAM's goals included fair agricultural prices, limiting imports, and establishing an agricultural producers organization to advise the government. The AAM's activities included protests, rallies, and tractor caravans across the country and in Washington, D.C. The movement peaked in 1978. In that year farmers nationwide drove their tractors into Washington to lobby for changes in farm policy, block traffic, and occupy the National Mall for several weeks in February and March…..

Don’t understand why farmers won’t organize and hit back against the monopolies and their government pawns. Together you have the real power. Why be dictated to when you have the land and means of production? What are you scared of? Bankruptcy? Have you seen the trends?! Bankruptcy is where the current path inevitably ends. @ISU145 All other businesses cut production when supply appears to be becoming burdensome. I think if that happens 1x things would be a little different.
@ISU145 Farmers hold the strongest cards, it’s called work together and refuse to plant a crop so that the world realizes what would happen if we did that. It happens in SA. Only way to negotiate. Too many bobble heads streamlining what they think farmers need.
