With the academic year 2026–27 set to begin, Chief Minister Shri D.K. Shivakumar today held a meeting with senior officials at Vidhana Soudha to discuss key education-related matters. The meeting focused on improving enrolment of students and Anganwadi children, maintaining the quality of education, children’s health, distribution of nutritious food, and other academic issues. Minister Shri U.T. Khader, Chief Secretary Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, and other senior officials were present.

ಇಂದು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಸುವರ್ಣಸೌಧದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಎರಡನೇ ಅತಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಖಾದಿ ತ್ರಿವರ್ಣ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಅನಾವರಣಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣರಾದ ವಿಧಾನಸಭಾ ಸಭಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಯು.ಟಿ.ಖಾದರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಬುರ್ಗಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕಮಲಾಪುರದ ವಿನೋದ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ರೇವಪ್ಪ ಬಮ್ಮಣ್ಣ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು. ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಚಳವಳಿಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತ್ರಿವರ್ಣ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ತ್ರಿವರ್ಣ ಧ್ವಜ ಕೇವಲ ಖಾದಿ ವಸ್ತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಇದು ಭಾರತದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಾಭಿಮಾನದ ಸಂಕೇತ. ಕೇಸರಿ ಬಣ್ಣವು ಶಕ್ತಿ, ಸ್ಥೈರ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ತ್ಯಾಗವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಬಿಳಿಬಣ್ಣ ಶಾಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿದರೆ, ಹಸಿರು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಶೋಕ ಚಕ್ರ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ದೇಶದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸಮಾನ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವುದರ ಸಂಕೇತವಾಗಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ತ್ರಿವರ್ಣ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸಿ, ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾಣಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪ್ರೇಮವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತ್ಯಾಗ - ಬಲಿದಾನ, ಹೋರಾಟ ಮಾಡಿದವರನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸುವುದು ಅಗತ್ಯ. ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧಿವೇಶನದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಇದು ನಡೆದು ನೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಾದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಳದ ವರ್ಷ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾತ್ಮಾ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಸುವರ್ಣಸೌಧದ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮಿಗಳಾಗಬೇಕು. ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಜಾತಿ, ಧರ್ಮಗಳಿದ್ದು, ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಜಾತ್ಯತೀತರಾಗಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವುದು ಅವಶ್ಯಕ. ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕೆ ಹೊರತು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸಬಾರದು. ಆಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಮಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಜಾತ್ಯತೀತ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಕಷ್ಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಬಂದು 79 ವರ್ಷಗಳಾಗಿವೆ. ನಾವೆಷ್ಟರಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಭ್ರಾತೃತ್ವ, ದೇಶಪ್ರೇಮ, ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಸಮಾಜವನ್ನು ಈ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಆತ್ಮಾವಲೋಕನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಇದಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಹೋದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಾಗಿ ಬಾಳುವುದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಯುವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಬೆಳೆಯಬೇಕು. ಬಾಬಾ ಸಾಹೇಬ್ ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ಅವರ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ ಪೀಠಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಶಾಲಾ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಿಸುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ ಇಂಥ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ವಿನೋದ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ರೇವಪ್ಪ ಬಮ್ಮಣ್ಣ ಅವರು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಧ್ವಜಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. - ಇಂದು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಸುವರ್ಣಸೌಧದ ಮುಂಭಾಗ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಎರಡನೇ ಅತೀ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಖಾದಿ ತ್ರಿವರ್ಣ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಅನಾವರಣಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಮಾತನಾಡಿದೆ
