Exited from all my remaining holdings in the Capital Goods sector today. The entire sector has been a phenomenal multibagger journey. These two stocks alone were almost 36X and 55X on the last balanced quantities. What an incredible journey it has been over the last 5–6 years in this sector. I may be wrong, as I am most of the time. 🙂 I may also take positions again in the future, but only when I find a convincing risk reward proposition. For now, time to step aside and reflect on the journey.

March was my third is my third entry in Savita SOTL in last 2 decades. First was in 2008-09 when every one was looking to do power. And all power stocks become absurdly priced. I was looking to do shovel play. I looked at Transformers , wires and what not. Finally figured Transformer oils and realised that #Apar (refer to my note in Aug 2020) and #Savita made 90% of transformer oil in India. I bought both. Sold #Savita in Jan/Feb 2018 when tax on LTCG was announced as Savita didn't fall because of their ongoing buyback. 2nd time bought it back in 2021 when it fell to 1x BV and sold it in 2022 around 3x BV. 3rd time entry was again in Mar2026 at 1x BV and might exit at 3x FY27 BV Only thing which might change the trajectory of the co. is if their data cooling liquid for data centres picks up. It's tiny today but TAM is huge. And if anyone in India can do they can (along with Apar) with decades of experience in liquid cooling. Will be looking out for it. I don't like it that management doesn't hold confrence calls. Otherwise they are clean and competent. Little conservative though
