Unfortunate news to share this morning. The world has lost a great man. Jeff Thorne is now in Heaven. Thorne, who led his North Central College team to the 2019 National Championship, had been fighting stomach cancer. Today, Jeff rests in peace with his Lord and Savior. May God

Arguments for multiple sport participation: 1⃣ Creates a higher long-term performance ceiling 2⃣ Minimizes risk of repetitive use injuries 3⃣ Prevents burnout Early specialization is the perfect recipe for creating "elite" 12 year-olds that get hurt or quit before college.

Early specialization is a chicken / egg argument. Are you good because you played multiple sports or do better athletes get away with playing multiple sports? Research supports the first theory. A broader sport base leads to a higher sport peak.
