a desperate activist tells Malcolm X that the situation is hopeless as there are too many powerful interests and too few to oppose them. Malcolm's response is as important today as it was then: "Never let your enemy tell you how many of you there are."
Dear writers, we need your imagination, your narrative creativity and your lively thinking. We need these to create spaces of freedom and authenticity, within which divine grace can make the promise of consolation and peace resound. vatican.va/content/leo-xi…
Personally, I'm learning Swahili and I think as an African, wherever on the continent you come from, that language is the future for a variety of reasons. That's the most important language our kids will need to speak over the next 25-40 years. I'm not wrong about this. I'm just early.
My language is only spoken by 7 villages in the entire world. I assure you, my children don’t need it for anything. The only Nigerian language i owe my kids is Pidgin☺️ (which is actually more common in my state than my language)
my response to Mayor Mamdani, the reporters calling me, etc.
Comparing the general population or an average person to gifted and resourceful dropouts only shows your stupidity. Elon, Gates, Zuck, Bezos were all high performers, your motivational speaker isn’t.
We did a thing on Sunday, on international women’s day, thanks to all of you that donated. At least 30 children in Kicheko, under the age of 5, got warm clothes for the rainy season. I know some of you still want to send stuff. The drop off point is in CBD at bebabeba Trade Center Ground floor. Shop A10. Collections can be done there. Or you can reach me on 0710479170 For those who want to send pads I liasing with @Bintipads and @j_lornz we see how we can do that. I know there’s a group that’s also fundraising for diapers, we truly appreciate. 🙏❤️
My dear fellow sons and daughters of Mungu, I promise you that "tourism" is a false god that brings you no prosperity. It a fake pseudo-industry that creates next to no actual wealth for the people and places it exploits, and reduces the value of said people to mere trinkets and experiences. The worst part about this video is that the only time it shows any black people is only where they are an aesthetic backdrop to the "magical experience" being advertised. The subconscious message being passed is that all of Kenya and its 99% black population are just a temporary experience for rich white people to enjoy. You can draw a straight line from messaging like this to the existence of large numbers of abandoned mixed race children in Kenya. Everything there - including the buxom damsels - is meant to be a "magical experience" after all, and magical experiences never last long. For the love of God, leave tourism alone and build factories, power stations, factories and more factories like every other nation that escaped poverty has done. Give Kenyans access to real productive power and wealth, and stop advertising these beautiful African people as aesthetic landmarks and busty bed warmers to muzungus who are having their post-divorce midlife crisis.🤦🏿♂️
Tonight, Kenya unveils its bold new global tourism campaign - Experience Wonder 🇰🇪 at ITB Berlin. More than a campaign, it is an invitation to the world to discover the Origin of Wonder - the Origin of all things. This campaign invites the world to discover a destination where
Running a newsroom in sub-Saharan Africa has stretched me in ways I never anticipated. Grants disappear without warning. Local advertising or subscription is an extreme sport. Real philanthropy for journalism is almost absent, and when funding appears, it is crowded, competitive, and tilted toward safer, less disruptive themes. You push for accountability, and governments bristle. Corporations shut their doors. Your reporters navigate legal threats, online harassment, and real physical danger. The public value of this work is obvious. The market value is not. Profit has never been the reason to wake up and do this again each morning. What keeps me here is impact. The farmer who got his land back after we exposed the grab. The detainee who walked free because we would not drop the story. The quiet policy reversals that happened because the facts refused to disappear. Somehow, @HumAngle_ has survived six years. That survival is not just ours. It belongs to the communities that trusted us with their pain and who endured the crossfire of violent conflicts across Africa. Today, we mark another year. We are still here.
Israel supplies 50% of the medjool dates around the world, often selling them under misleading labels. Al Jazeera’s Hala Al Shami looks at how Israel’s illegal agricultural settlements in Jericho produce medjool dates while exploiting Palestinian land, water, and labour.

Haya makala kuhusu #BibiTiti yaliandikwa tukijua yatawekwa wazi kwa wote ila yakaishia kufichwa kama mambo yake mengi yalivyofichwa; baada ya kuona mjadala kuhusu #Nyerere dhidi ya Bibi Titi Mojamed ngoja tuwakumbushe wachapishaji kuwa siyo sahihi kumpiga kufuli tena! oxfordre.com/africanhistory…
The reignited (never-ending) ‘debate’ on Nyerere vs #BibiTiti Mohamed has inspired us to retweet all our tweets about Bibi Titi.
I know I’m not the only one who notices the quiet grief we Africans carry. For delayed exposure, slow systems, almost zero safety nets, starting adulthood already tired and having dreams literally cut short by bad governance. No single day goes by on this app without reading it.
UJUMBE WA RAMBIRAMBI WA @TunduALissu KUFUATIA KIFO CHA MZEE EDWIN ISAAC MBILIEWI MTEI. Ndugu Waombolezaji, Sasa naomba kumaliza salamu zangu hizi.
