@billat_foxhill @EE Yes, very noticeable the huge number of pop up bars to sell a beer. Doesn’t take long for the entrepreneurs amongst us to know where the profit is to be found. Something of a ritual to walk around with a part drunk beer in a plastic mug. However, very good for local economy.

Swale Councillors should wait until they see the impact of all unbuilt homes already given approval and then see if more are needed and where. Would avoid Duchey disaster.

Yesterday saw a demonstration by concerned people of Faversham against the @duchyofcornwall plan for 2500 extra houses on the edge of town.@SwaleCouncil have been very quiet. More demos are needed @vicattaylor @Faversham_Kent @favershamfocus @RosieP4 @Helen_Whately

Further, they don’t understand Faversham roadways which rely on only 1 A2 trunk road for access by some 20k people. Their plan will clog it sufficiently to cause economic starvation to the Town, massive bankruptcies and property devaluation. Why can’t they see it?

It is obvious that the Duchy Investment criteria has to satisfy 2 key requirements. 1) Be IN the national interest so as not to harm The Crown. 2) Provide secure income and growth. Their Faversham housing scheme fails on 1.) and could be a disaster on 2.) Why can’t they see it ?

The Duchy of Cornwall appear to be damaging The Crown & themselves by seeking to build on prime rare top grade fruit growing land in Faversham, Kent when they could achieve the opposite by choosing low grade reusable land. As a national institution, why?

No wonder big names becoming involved.
