The car flying is cool. i’m just confused why people think it changes the investment case.
Say $TSLA sells 1,000 at $300k each. (made-up numbers), but that’s $300m revenue. about 1% of one quarter’s revenue. before costs.
what am i missing here? @elonmusk
$IREN gets linked to Anthropic, one of the biggest names in AI, and the stock still sells off. Here's what I think the market is telling us.
I've been following the AI infrastructure space closely, and I think we're reaching an interesting stage in this investment cycle.
For the past couple of years, the narrative has been fairly simple: AI demand is exploding, companies need more computing power, and whoever builds the data centers and provides that infrastructure stands to benefit.
And to a large extent, I agree with that thesis.
But I think investors are beginning to ask a much more important question:
How much of this enormous AI spending will actually translate into sustainable profits for shareholders?
Take IREN as an example.
The company is transitioning from its Bitcoin mining roots toward AI cloud infrastructure. That's an interesting opportunity, particularly when companies like Anthropic, OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google are demanding enormous amounts of computing capacity.
But here's where I become a little cautious.
1. AI infrastructure is incredibly capital-intensive.
Building data centers, securing power, purchasing GPUs, and expanding capacity requires substantial upfront investment.
Growing revenue is important, but eventually investors need to understand the returns these investments can generate.
2. Shareholder dilution matters.
One concern I've noticed in discussions around IREN is how the company finances its expansion.
If growth requires repeatedly issuing additional shares, the business might become significantly larger without existing shareholders benefiting proportionately.
That's something I would pay close attention to.
3. A partnership announcement isn't the same as guaranteed profitability.
The reported Anthropic relationship sounds significant, but the financial terms and commercial implications need to be established before investors can accurately value it.
I'd want to know the contract economics, expected margins, capital requirements, and ultimately how much free cash flow the infrastructure can generate.
4. Expectations might be the biggest risk.
This is probably the most interesting part to me.
A company can operate in an industry with extraordinary growth potential and still be a disappointing investment if its stock price already reflects years of future success.
That's why positive news doesn't always lead to a positive stock reaction.
My overall view:
I'm still bullish on the long-term demand for AI computing infrastructure.
But I don't think every company building AI data centers will necessarily become a great investment.
Over time, I expect the market to become increasingly selective about which companies can convert demand into profitable growth.
And that's the distinction I'm paying attention to.
AI demand can keep growing while individual AI infrastructure stocks struggle. Both things can be true.
For $IREN, I'll be watching revenue growth, financing requirements, dilution, margins, and progress toward positive free cash flow.
I'm not automatically bearish because the stock sold off, but I'm also not treating every AI headline as a reason to buy.
What do you think? Is $IREN being unfairly punished by the market, or are investors finally becoming more realistic about the economics of AI infrastructure?

Which stock do you think offers the best value right now: $NVDA, $AMZN, $GOOGL or $META?
All four have strong businesses and huge opportunities ahead, especially with AI. But at current valuations, I'm curious which one has the most upside over the next 5–10 years.
I'm not just talking about P/E ratios, but growth potential, competitive advantages and future earnings.
If you had $1 million to put into just one of these stocks and couldn't sell for 10 years, which would you choose?
Would love to hear the reasoning behind your pick.
$NVTS at $10.09 in early trade. The recent sideways range is under pressure again, and buyers still need to recover $11.43.
Holding above that level would improve the immediate picture. Around $12.50, horizontal resistance and the moving averages create a tougher second test.
While rebounds fail beneath $11.43, the lower end remains vulnerable. $9.26 is the next marked support reference if weakness continues. It's a conditional level to watch, not a forecast that price must reach it.
Chart: @stock_analysisx
$BBAI at $2.35 in early trade. $2.59 is the level that would make a bounce more useful.
That area supported price in July, but the latest decline broke beneath it. Buyers need to recover it and defend the next pullback. A move above $2.59 followed by a close back below would weaken that recovery attempt.
Even a successful reclaim leaves $2.95 and $3.25 overhead, with the falling 50 EMA nearby. Until support is rebuilt, the lower highs deserve more weight than a single strong candle.
Chart: @stock_analysisx
$SOUN at $5.17 in early trade. The daily chart has several layers of resistance to work through.
First: $5.83, the former support area. A reclaim needs to hold on a pullback.
Next: the falling 50 EMA, then marked resistance at $6.60 and $7.12.
That sequence matters because clearing the first level leaves further overhead supply. A rebound that stalls below $5.83 keeps the lower-high structure intact; sustained trading above it would be the first improvement.
Chart: @stock_analysisx
$DVLT at $0.1320 in early trade. Price has slipped below last week's lows, with $0.18 resistance still overhead.
A credible base needs a higher low and a level buyers can defend. A recovery through $0.18 that survives a pullback would provide a measurable change; another rejection there would leave sellers in control.
Both moving averages remain overhead. A low share price alone says little about how much risk remains.
Chart: @stock_analysisx
$UUUU at $9.71 in early trade, still below the old $10.69 floor.
A rebound has two jobs: recover $10.69, then hold it on a pullback. A quick move through the line that fades back underneath would leave the breakdown intact.
If that reclaim sticks, $12.58 is the next marked resistance, with the falling 50 EMA nearby. Price remains below both moving averages on the daily chart.
The useful signal is whether buyers can defend recovered ground. Chart: @stock_analysisx
At $0.1405, “it only needs to move a penny” means a lot more than it sounds.
$DVLT closed Friday, Oct 9 at $0.1405, down 2.63%. A $0.01 move from that price is roughly 7.1% in either direction. That’s percentage math, not a price prediction.
The daily chart still shows a downtrend over recent weeks. A rebound would need sustained follow-through before there’s a convincing reversal case.
Before considering a setup, check:
The live bid-ask spread as a percentage of the price
Whether there’s enough liquidity for the intended order
How much slippage would change the potential loss
What specific price action would invalidate the setup
A limit order can control the price you accept, but it doesn’t guarantee a fill or protect against a later decline.
A low share price doesn’t automatically mean a stock is cheap. Measure the risk in percentages, not pennies.
$UUUU finished Friday, Oct 9 in the green. The candle tells a more nuanced story.
It closed at $9.96, up 0.20% from Thursday. But Friday opened at $10.04, so price fell about 0.80% during the session.
Both numbers are correct. One compares consecutive closes; the other shows what happened after the open.
Volume was 5.95M versus 11.32M Thursday, roughly 53% as much. That adds context, although two sessions aren’t enough to establish normal volume.
What matters next:
$10.18–$10.19: the last two session highs. Clearing that area and holding above it would improve the recovery case.
$9.72: Thursday’s low and a downside reference.
A green percentage alone doesn’t tell us buyers controlled the session. Check the opening price, closing location and volume together.
@OpenAI I’ve been having an issue with my dot’s cloud computer for several hours now. I can open the desktop from settings and see the browser, but my dot says its browser controls are unavailable and it can’t interact with the computer.
The errors it has reported include:
“Root executor preparation for your dot failed.”
“Failed to query executor configuration capabilities.”
The connection has shown “starting” several times, but access still hasn’t recovered. From my side, it’s hard to understand what’s happening when the desktop is visible but the assistant can’t use it.
Is anyone else using dots experiencing this? If you’ve had the same problem, did it recover on its own, or was there a specific step that fixed it?
@OpenAI could you clarify whether this is a known issue and what the recommended recovery steps are? A clearer connection status and a safe way to reconnect without losing files or progress would really help.
Before turning a large AI-spending headline into an investment case, build the cash-flow timeline. If the reported financing goes ahead, the important terms include the cost of debt, maturities, collateral and whether customer commitments arrive before major equipment payments.
Revenue alone does not show funding capacity. Examine operating cash flow, liquidity, capex commitments and expected utilization, then allow for hardware depreciation and refresh cycles. A project can have strong demand while its funding needs arrive much earlier than its returns.
The wording “in talks” matters: proposed borrowing is still subject to completion and terms. The useful question is how the investment earns durable returns after financing and running costs, on an achievable timetable. Educational analysis.
A fund discount calls for more research before drawing a return conclusion. For $PSUS, first align the NAV date with the share-price date, then examine portfolio concentration, fees, leverage and liquidity.
A closed-end fund can remain at a discount while its underlying NAV falls. The practical question is what could narrow the discount and how much portfolio risk is taken while waiting.
The reported insider purchase is another data point. It does not establish a price floor or a timetable for convergence. Comparing NAV and market-price total returns helps separate portfolio performance from changes in the discount.
