it's also hard to spin up agents when you have N unmerged branches that are stacked in various ways — even if you have the compute! bc the state of the world is too fragmented to progress. i still really like steipete.me/posts/2025/shi… for how things could be different!
ofc this'd cause other problems — it's mostly me grappling w current state of things. i spend most of my time shepherding in prs, and dealing with conflicts/bugbots. my orchestrator can optimize sequencing/conflicts for my own prs. but really hard to do in a team context!
it feels impossible to move fast with prs and branches. i'd love a system where all agents work on the same branch, and they find out about conflicts in realtime. and then just have agents FF flag everything, run ample security agents while it bakes on staging, and auto deploy
obligatory corgi cafe review as a visitor from nyc: love the idea; execution needs work. interior/lighting wise it’s not cozy, and a bit dirty. kinda like a budget hotel lobby. vibe is college library during dead week. not creatively stimulating! also, no decaf coffee. 4/10
