It’s less an AI race and more an AI game.
Computers were always misaligned with humans, but in a sort of coincidental way. AI begets a way for us to actually do a real kind of alignment.
@signulll To defend against predators you need to understand how they think and behave. A misbehaving model is an asset for learning for to defend.
Game design is so interesting to me because we barely know how to do it.
At some point we will need neural interfaces to understand what the AIs are on about. And there may be a limit even to that.
