Answer me this. Petrol in my Tesco has risen sharply in the last week. It's now £1.59 a litre. Oil is currently 81 dollars a barrel. In 2010, the average oil price was 80 dollars a barrel and petrol was between £1.17 and £1.22 a litre. Are we being ripped off?

🔵 Chelsea Escape Again as Football’s Credibility Collapses I hated Chemistry at school. Absolutely hated it. I even recall I was caught cheating in a Chemistry test once. The punishment was to be banned from the class for 4 weeks, a detention that never actually happened, and a promise to never cheat again. After that I was tempted to cheat in Physics the following week as well. That is what football has just witnessed today. 74 breaches. Years of rule breaking. A points sanction quietly vanished on appeal. A suspended transfer ban that only matters if history repeats itself. A £10m fine that barely registers in the modern game. What exactly is the deterrent here? Yes, these offences belong to a previous ownership. Yes, the current regime deserves credit for self reporting and cooperating. Those facts matter. They explain mitigation. They do not explain why the sporting consequences amount to little more than the cost of parking ticket for Todd Boehly's private jet. The reaction from supporters tells its own story. Everton fans feel cheated. Forest supporters feel vindicated in their anger. Rival fans across the country are asking exactly the same question. If this is the outcome for 74 breaches, what on earth are we supposed to expect when the Man City verdict finally arrives? That's the precedent now. Not speculation, precedent. Football cannot continue asking supporters to believe its governing bodies are capable of regulating themselves when every major ruling leaves the game looking weaker. Confidence has evaporated because consistency has disappeared. The game needs an independent regulator now more than ever. Premier League self-governance is a sham. Clubs cannot mark their own homework, authorities cannot keep asking supporters to trust a process that repeatedly produces outcomes like this, and football deserves punishments that restore faith rather than reinforce cynicism.
