I'm 47 and my first time deadlifting was last February. Been doing it for maybe a year and now, and it's come up from a shakey 315lbs, to a smooth 405 as of last week. I really only trained it once per week or so. That said, I think I increased in my deadlift most, when I started taking squats seriously.

@T_Nation deadlift 2 sets 135x5 1 set 185x5 1 set 225x5 1 set 275x5 1 set 315x3 Then either bang out a couple more sets of 3 in this weight range, or do single reps up to 405 for 1. (current 1rm).

@Hitchslap1 I am a genius in a low IQ country. It's the way to go if you don't mind stepping on people, and can harden your heart against compassion and empathy. I'd consider the alternative a vacation- getting to ride the coattails of my fellow man. Interesting idea, anyways.

No mystery. The younger generation, with young men specifically, have been vilified and abandoned by society. There's millions of them out there, all in the same predicament.
