Say what you want about Christianity... But one thing I've noticed is that zero Christians are out there running around screaming "Jesus is Lord" and then violently st*bbing, sh00ting, and m*rdering people. It seems to only be the“Allahu Akbar” people who are doing this.

When I was Muslim, I thought the Old Testament was just old Jewish history. Disconnected stories. Then I saw the thread. The high priest in Israel could only enter God’s presence once a year, behind a thick veil, with blood, and only after endless washing. The veil screamed: you cannot come in. Access denied. Leviticus 16. That veil stood for 1,500 years. A wall between God and man. Then Jesus died. And the Gospel records that at the exact moment He died, that veil ripped. Top to bottom. Matthew 27:51. Top to bottom, because no man could reach the top. Only God could tear it, and He tore it from His side. And here’s the part that undid me. For 1,500 years the message was STAY OUT. Jesus died and the message became COME IN. Islam kept me behind a veil, washing, performing, hoping to get close. The cross tore the veil so I could walk straight in to Heaven with Christ himself. What a crazy love story,

Today, my heart changed. I went to court for shoplifting food from Walmart almost a year ago. Logan and I were really struggling and didn’t know what to do. In court, as I was getting my paperwork to leave, an officer asked me to wait outside. I went outside, and she told me to follow her. We ended up at a Winn-Dixie grocery store. She told me to get a shopping cart, and we went shopping. Officer Katrina spent $139 on food for me, Logan, and Skylar. When I told her she didn’t have to do it, she started sharing her own struggles and how she had overcome them. This world may have a lot of problems, but there are still people who make a real difference. When my time comes, I will make sure to pay it forward. Well, I have some news that's going to make some people uncomfortable... My wife and I are pulling our youngest out of North Carolina public schools and my wife will be homeschooling him. And no, we're not sorry about it. We didn't come to this decision lightly. We prayed on it, argued about it, ran the numbers, lost sleep over it. But every road led back to the same common theme: nobody on God's green earth loves that boy more than his mother and I do, and nobody is more responsible for who he becomes than us. Yet, rather ironically, despite believing this somewhere along the way, we handed that responsibility to strangers and... trusted them with it. His mind. His values. His time. His education. His TRUTH. ...and this past year, for the first time, we stopped and asked whether they'd earned that trust. We don't think they did. So we're taking it back. Yeah, we're scared. Scared we'll get something wrong. Scared of the workload. Nervous about what people will say. But I'll take the fear of us doing it ourselves over the quiet horror of watching our son be indoctrinated in utter BS woke nonsense and be laughed at for believing in God and mocked for liking President Trump (all of which occurred this year. So yeah, he's going to read the hard books. The ones they'd rather he didn't. He's going to learn history that hasn't been run through an anti-White woke filter. He's going to know exactly where he comes from and what he believes. Most importantly, he's going to grow up watching his mother choose him, to spend every day, all day with him, over what was easy. They had their shot. They blew it. We've got him from here. 🇺🇸

Jesus died at 33. The human spine has 33 vertebrae. The same structure that holds us up is the same number of years He held this Earth. We have 12 ribs on each side. 12 disciples. 12 tribes of Israel. God built His design into our bones. He wrote Heaven into our anatomy. The vagus nerve runs from your brain to your heart and gut. It calms storms inside the body. It looks just like a cross. That’s the power source running through us. Every time your body heals, every time your heart slows in prayer, every time peace shows up when it shouldn’t…that’s Him. Jesus rose on the third day. Science tells us that when you fast for 3 days, your body starts regenerating. Old cells die. New ones are born. Healing begins. Your body literally resurrects itself. That’s not coincidence. That’s design. And it keeps going. Your heart has an electrical rhythm. Your brain lights up when you pray. Tears contain different chemicals depending on if you're crying from joy or grief. The blood speaks. The bones store memory. The body worships whether you realize it or not. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are walking prophecy. Walking tabernacles. Dust and divinity in one. God didn’t just create you. He carved Himself into you. You don’t need to look far to find Him. You just need to look inward. He’s been in the design since the beginning.

I went to my daughter's school for a parent meeting. The teacher shook my hand and said, "You are an amazing father." I said, "No no no no no." Five nos. I counted later. In a chair. To an American woman. Who was already looking at her next parent. In the car, my daughter buckled her seatbelt and said, "Papa. Why did you say no five times?" I opened my mouth. Nothing came out. Because the real answer was: In Japan, when someone praises you, you must push it away. If you accept it, you are arrogant. If you deny it once, you are humble. If you deny it five times, you are a good Japanese man. My father denied every compliment for 70 years. His father denied every compliment for 80 years. I was raised by a line of men who could not say thank you. I looked at my daughter in the rearview mirror. She was 7. She was waiting. I said, "Because Papa is stupid. From today, Papa will say thank you." She said, "Okay!" and went back to her iPad. Like it was nothing. Like changing 300 years of samurai DNA takes 4 seconds when your daughter asks. Then he said, "…arigatou na." First time in 40 years. My daughter taught me in the car. I taught my father on the phone. America just held the door open.

A SpaceX intern once described eating lunch next to Elon Musk in the company cafeteria. The intern said Elon sat down at a regular table with a regular tray of food. No entourage. No reserved section. He sat next to two junior engineers who were clearly terrified. One of them was explaining a problem with a valve component to the other. Elon listened without introducing himself or interrupting. After about three minutes he turned to the engineer and said "have you tried running it at a lower pressure gradient first." The engineer stared at him. Then realized the CEO of the company had just casually solved a problem his team had been stuck on for a week. The intern said what happened next was the part that surprised him. Elon didn't leave. Didn't check his phone. He spent the next twenty minutes asking the engineers questions about their work. Not CEO questions about timelines and budgets. Engineering questions about fluid dynamics and material stress tolerances. He was genuinely curious. The cafeteria conversation was indistinguishable from a technical review. The intern said he understood in that moment why people work 80-hour weeks for this man. Not because he's inspiring. Not because he pays well. Because he's the only CEO in the world who sits in the cafeteria and solves your engineering problem between bites of a burrito. People follow leaders who are above them. People worship leaders who sit next to them and prove they understand the work better than the people doing it.

want to brag on this young man named Hayden working at McDonald’s at exit 8 on 25E near i81. I stopped in there for a quick bite to eat on my way home. I ordered and used my card. My card would not work for nothing. My total was 8 bucks. Before I realized it the cashier Hayden took his debit card out and swiped it and said I got you, don’t worry about it. I said no no just void it please. He said no sir I got got it. The only cash I had was 4 one dollar bills, I made him take the 4 bucks and told him I would be back. I thanked him, he handed me my bag and I left. I get to my truck and in the bag is the 4 bucks and my receipt that says “Have a Blessed Day”. Well young man, you did bless my day and Thank you and never loose that giving heart. The world is a better place with you in it. I had to go back in and get a picture with him so I could brag on him because he deserves it.

In Texas I was taken to a grocery store called H-E-B. I asked what the letters stand for. My friend said, "Howard Edward Butt." I waited for the rest of the name. There was no rest. The man built an empire on his actual name, and the empire did not flinch. Inside, a woman in a red apron said, "Welcome! Finding everything okay?" I had been inside for eleven seconds. I had found nothing. I had not begun to look. "...I have only just arrived." "Well, let me know if you need anything, sweetheart." Sweetheart. From a stranger with a price gun. I held the cart handle with both hands and tried to proceed as a man who had not just been loved at the produce section. The store was clean in a way that suggested someone cared about it the way my grandmother cared about her kitchen floor. Not for the guests. For the floor. A man named Dale in the meat department was cutting brisket behind glass. I watched him work. He held the knife the way a calligrapher holds a brush. Each cut landed in the same place twice. I bowed slightly. I could not help it. Dale looked up. "You want a sample, boss?" "...I was paying respects to your blade work." He paused. Then he cut a piece, put it on a toothpick, and handed it over the counter. "Well, that's a first. Most folks just ask if I got any ribs left." I ate it. It was perfect. I told him it was perfect. "Appreciate that. Twenty-six years behind this counter." Twenty-six years. The same counter. The same knife. In my country we would call this man a living national treasure and put him on television. Here he wore a red apron and asked if I wanted it wrapped. Then the storm came. I do not mean this as a metaphor. A hurricane was approaching the coast, and I learned something about this grocery store that I did not believe until I saw it with my own eyes. H-E-B has mobile kitchens. Disaster relief trucks. A full-time Director of Emergency Preparedness. Over a hundred and fifty thousand employees they call Partners, and when the wind starts to build, the Partners do not go home. They drive toward it. During Hurricane Harvey, this grocery store fed thousands. They sent trucks into flooded towns before the government arrived. Before the Red Cross set up. Before anyone asked. A grocery store. With a meat counter and a bakery and a sign that says HERE EVERYTHING'S BETTER. Texans have a name for H-E-B during hurricanes. They call it the FEMA of Texas. I have confirmed this. Multiple Texans said it to me without smiling, the way you state the name of a general who does not lose. I asked Dale if he had worked during Harvey. He stopped cutting. He set the knife down, which I had not seen him do. "Drove in at four in the morning. Water was up to my truck doors. Store was the only thing open for nine miles. We made sandwiches till we ran out of bread. Then corporate sent more bread. Then we ran out again." "...How long?" "Sixteen days." I stood there holding a package of brisket in both hands and tried to find the word. "...You are not a butcher, Dale." He picked up his knife. "Sure I am." In my country, a man who feeds his village through a disaster is honored for the rest of his life. In Texas, he is called a butcher, and he goes back to the counter on Monday, and he does not mention it unless you ask, and even then he picks up his knife before he finishes the story, because the brisket is not going to cut itself. The store was founded in 1905 by a woman named Florence Butt, who put sixty dollars' worth of groceries on a shelf on the ground floor of her family's home in a town called Kerrville. That was the whole store. One shelf. One room. Sixty dollars. A hundred and twenty years later, the family still owns it. I walked out with four bags. A boy in a red apron carried two of them to my car. I told him I could carry my own bags. He said, "I know you can. But I'm already here, so." I did not tip him. He would not let me. I drove home past the highway where the flood line was still visible on the guardrail, three feet up, and I thought about Dale, and the bread, and the knife, and the name Howard Edward Butt, who was not embarrassed by it, because the name is not the point. The shelf is the point. Florence Butt put sixty dollars on a shelf in 1905. A hundred and twenty years later, when the water rose and the power died, the shelf was still standing, and there was bread on it. A store is not its name. A store is whether the bread is there when you need it. The bread was there.

In America they told me the football game starts at 1 PM. I arrived at 1 PM. I was five hours late. The parking lot was already a city. A man had built a living room beside his truck. Not metaphorically. He had a couch. A television. A chandelier powered by a generator the size of a small horse. He was grilling enough meat to feed a village, and when I walked past he said, "You hungry?" I said I had not been invited. He looked at me the way you look at someone who has apologized for breathing. "Brother," he said. "You're here. That's the invitation." He handed me a plate. It was not a small plate. The brisket hung over the edges like a man sleeping in a bed he has outgrown. I ate it standing beside a stranger's couch in a parking lot in October, and it was among the finest meals of my life. A woman across the row had a tent, a smoker, a speaker system, and a flag so large it could have sheltered a family of five beneath it. She had been here since 6 AM. The game had not started. The game, I began to realize, was not the point. I asked the man what time he would go inside the stadium. He said, "Depends." I asked on what. He said, "On whether the ribs are done." I want to be clear. He had a ticket. He had driven four hours. He had assembled a small civilization from the back of a pickup truck. And he was considering not going to the game. Because the ribs were not ready. In Japan we tailgate nothing. We do not build living rooms in parking lots. We do not grill for strangers. We sit quietly on trains and think about whether we remembered to bow at the right angle. I have since attended eleven tailgates. I have never once cared who won the game. Nobody has. The game is inside the stadium. America is in the parking lot.

The 20-year-old Barca player assigned to bathe him was Lionel Messi. The baby was Lamine Yamal. Nobody thought about the photo for 15 years. Then the baby debuted for Barcelona at 15. Won the Euros at 16 while still doing homework. Took over Messi's number 10 shirt. On Sunday they meet in the World Cup Final. Messi is 39. It's likely his last one. Yamal turned 19 two days ago. It's his first. The baby Messi held in his hands is now trying to take the trophy out of them.

On September 11, 2001, Howard Lutnick was supposed to be at work on the 101st floor of the North Tower. Instead, he was taking his 6-year-old son to his first day of kindergarten, a decision that unknowingly saved his life. That morning, Cantor Fitzgerald lost 658 employees, including Lutnick's younger brother, Gary, and his best friend, Douglas Gardner. The company suffered the single greatest loss of life of any business in the 9/11 attacks. Determined to honor those who never came home, Lutnick pledged that Cantor Fitzgerald would devote 25% of its profits for five years to the victims' families while also covering their healthcare for a decade. In the years that followed, the firm fulfilled that promise, distributing more than $180 million to the families of the 658 employees it lost. Lutnick also made another promise: every child of a Cantor Fitzgerald employee killed on 9/11 would be offered a job if they wanted one. By 2016, 57 of those children had joined the company. What began as one of the darkest days in the firm's history became a long-term commitment to the families left behind. More than two decades later, Cantor Fitzgerald's annual Charity Day continues to raise millions for charitable causes, keeping the memory of those 658 employees alive through acts of generosity rather than words alone.

You know what wrecked me when I was converting to Christianity? Jihad is literally the gospel in reverse. Once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it. The gospel says Christ shed His blood for YOU. Jihad says you shed your blood for ALLAH. Jesus lays down His life to save His enemies. Jihad calls you to take the lives of enemies in pursuit of God's favor. Christianity says the Shepherd dies so the sheep can live. Jihad says the sheep die hoping the Shepherd accepts them. They are mirrors. One is grace, the other is striving. One says, "It is finished." The other says, "Do more." Jesus never asked me to earn God's love with my blood, he proved God's love by shedding His own. That's why the cross changed everything for me. Jesus didn't come to tell us how to die for God. He came to die for us so we could truly live. PRAISE GOD! I AM FREE! Now, we need to make all the Muslims Christian.
