Today marks three years since the imprisonment of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. The UN has described his conditions as "inhumane" — held in near-total solitary confinement for 33 months in a small, windowless cell under 24/7 CCTV surveillance. Amnesty International has also condemned his treatment, revealing he has not been allowed to see his family for more than eight months, has been denied regular access to lawyers since December 2025, and has suffered significant deterioration to his eyesight.
