The community on twitter of Assititve tech and disability is no longer present, my feed is so irrelevant and nasty. Time to move to pastures new. Find me on linkedIN , sad times.

#NADP2024 take away, disability support can longer be treated asa small niche student population. Mainstreaming inclusive practice, empowering students to self advocate and allowing multiple way to demonstrate knowledge.

@jim_dickinson #NDCS2024 comedian! But Claritin - comments groups in HE meet a year and moan about workload and difficulties…pointing out disabled student commitment that is actually often legal minimums not aspirations.

@missundaaztood Have a look at Kanban techniques to list items, each item has a card.Put cards into column such as incoming, processed, do this week, do today , waiting on some one else, complete and abandoned . Move the cards along the columns. use post it notes on a wall, trello, planner etc.

@OctopusEnergy “thumbs up” bought an electric car. On agile half hour variable pricing tariff. Using your api through IFTTT to turn on smart plug(connected to granny ev charger) when cheaper unit price. Waiting on Zappi /Octopus trial before switching ev tariffs & use solar feed

⛓️ ARRESTED AFTER 15 SECONDS 🦺 After unlawfully issuing Section 12 notices all morning, @metpoliceuk arrested two Just Stop Oil supporters 15 seconds after they began marching. 🚔 This attack on the right to protest is an authoritarian move by our genocidal government. 🚷 Join us tomorrow, 12pm, Parliament Square, to march in solidarity with Morgan and Marcus: facebook.com/events/s/dont-…

@equalsShaun @A11yLondon Been working on it for many years, one success I had was making it essential criteria, cut tendering selection down easily. Mainly found lip service, most claim WCAG AA but fail to deliver.

DSA needs assessor and trainers. key takeaway for me was attention for ADHD focus difficulties is around working memory activities, which could be following instructions, breaking down multi-part questions, seems less to do with preferences & “what interests a student”
