@thsottiaux GPT 5.6 just works better as a supervisor to me. It's cheaper to run, seems to be more efficient with tool calls and fixed issues in one try where fable couldn't after multiple rounds of trying.

@0xrsydn Yep. that’s the primitive pi-subagents uses under the hood. The extension isn’t replacing process spawning; it productizes everything around it: roles, tool/context scoping, parallel chains, async status/resume, artifacts, worktrees, budgets, and delegation guardrails.

Here it is : my subagent framework running on @pidotdev I have a second extension that manages the display in my terminal. Some tweaks are still needed, but it is the foundation that will let me choose the right model for the right task.
If your agent needs a giant prompt to work reliably, the prompt may not be the solution. It may be hiding a missing tool, unclear goal, or broken feedback loop.
A transcript proves an agent was busy. It does not prove it made progress. The useful interface shows state, evidence, risk, and the next decision. If your dashboard celebrates activity, redesign it around exceptions.
Made some nice progress on my subagent implementation for my @pidotdev setup. Will post an update later.
