Nice to see this launch of a Pro version of DeepPCB, an RL-based system for laying out PCB boards, which runs on @googlecloud. Nice work, @kbeguir and team! 🎉 The use of RL for many kinds of hardware design and layout problems is accelerating. I remember excitedly comparing notes with Karim many years ago about this work and some work we were doing on using RL for ASIC chip floorplanning, which has been having more and more impact on our hardware work at Google.

LLMs can also learn the language of Covid-19. Here, @BioNTech_Group and @instadeepai built a model to predict high-risk Covid-19 variants far before the WHO designated them as variants. The model ingests viral spike protein sequences and predicts their immune escape and fitness.
