i think hating a ship because the fans are annoying is super valid but also i think it's really annoying when you let that ruin your analysis, because if you're gonna be objective you cant make "its problematic and bad" of something u clearly dislike because some teens like it.

I actually think Tatsuki and Ichigo are an interesting thing and written well. Sometimes people drift apart. People change. You become closer to another person. It's a remnant of the pretty solid writing of the first arc. But, again, it's not remotely similar to Rukia and Ichigo

Ironically their relationship is a soft parallel to Renji and Rukia. Soft because they weren't ever as close and it seems like a drift rather than hard cutoff. And, thank fuck despite what some fans think, there is no romantic overtones anywhere for her toward Ichigo

They were established as friends that had already drifted apart from the very beginning. She always was a character connected to both of them. I understand frustration about Tatsuki's relevance, but that doesn't have anything to do with her connection to Orihime over Ichigo

this is kinda true. people downplay most of ichigo and rukia's dynamics and scenes just to make up for ichigo and orihime's ones. plus she was friends with him way before orihime, it's annoying as hell that she was reduced to just asking ichigo about orihime

Before TYBW, Ichigo had received training and guidance from Urahara and Chad had at least received guidance. I do think what happened to her had Urahara change his mind about how he wanted to approach her and her abilities, but I still think he struggles with how

It was inappropriate, frankly. The anime lost the essence of the moment. Ichigo was talking about moments of utter despair, hopelessness, and doom, and the footage from a 20th anniversary pv doesn't fit (even though it's well animated) I prefer manga here

The voice behind Urahara and Kankuro passed away 7 years ago today at just 56 years old 🕊️ Michael Lindsay is a performer whose work became part of several series that introduced an entire generation of Western fans to anime. Lindsay was especially remembered as Kisuke Urahara in Bleach and Kankuro in Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden. Digimon fans also knew him through two very different characters, Joe Kido and Greymon, while he portrayed Amuro Ray in the English versions of the original Mobile Suit Gundam compilation films.
