You must remember that the REASON X11 was “broken” was because the corporate push was to DISALLOW any fixes or upgrades to the code base. The Xlibre branch was because there were (IIRC) hundreds of denied patches from the creator of Xlibre. The redhat and Linux foundation push was to PREVENT X11 fixes to push the Wayland bullshit
@davidokocha086 Plenty of good things I like from it, but basic things like HDMI on older (<2022) graphics break, screen recording with voice doesn't work, hangs randomly etc etc Been using the same distro with X11 and never had those issues The switch to wayland for many distros was rushed
I had to make a presentation only to find out HDMI on Wayland is fkn broken. Fortunately I had another laptop with me
wayland took 15 years to replace X11 not because it was hard because nobody wanted to admit X11 was broken 🧵

Those three could have been written in any language, and the Nuru syntax would remain the same. Also, can you tell me what the Python compiler is written in?
