After an information request, Canada’s Department of National Defence released an aerial photograph of the object detected over the Yukon before it was shot down, showing a round or C-shaped profile as opposed to the cylindrical shape described by military officials. In an email response to the request, a military official gave further details, describing the object as partly metallic, partly white, with a “20-foot wire hanging below with a package of some sort suspended from it”.

@UAPJames These kinds of statements are highly misleading. They essentially ignore the vast number of documented incidents from our past (UFOEvidence.org) and divert attention away from them.

8th January 2008, Stephenville, Texas. A mass sighting worthy of the history books. Residents and police officers saw objects with flashing lights hovering or traveling at high speed over the town and into nearby Dublin, sometimes pursued by military aircraft. The US Air Force at first denied its fighters were present - then it admitted they were. Some said the objects were flares. Multiple videos allegedly captured by Stephenville residents suggested otherwise.
