@jesse_kleine There ARE cheap COL cities for people to raise kids, it's just that people aren't willing to move there yet. Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon in English Canada and Montreal, Sherbrooke, Québec City in French Canada. More like "no cheap COL cities in BC or ON".

Also - remote/hybrid work has increased demand for 1bd stock as living with roommates is much less attractive when you have to spend 3-5 days/wk working from home.
