🚨 Google reveals undercover Mandiant analyst infiltrated TeamPCP during massive supply-chain hacking spree Google says an undercover Mandiant analyst infiltrated TeamPCP's inner circle as the hacking group compromised open-source software and ultimately breached more than 1,000 companies. ⠀ The analyst gained access to TeamPCP's core "CanisterWorm" chat in March, joining a group of roughly 12 members and watching the operation from the inside. ⠀ The mole also gained access to a server containing credentials stolen from victims, including usernames, passwords, and access tokens. Google used that visibility to alert cloud and technology providers, revoke compromised credentials, and send hundreds of notifications to affected organizations. ⠀ The operation also exposed a TeamPCP member developing an AI-assisted zero-day capable of bypassing two-factor authentication in widely used login software. Google obtained the exploit code, verified that it worked after minor modifications, and privately notified the developer so the vulnerability could be patched. ⠀ TeamPCP's campaign compromised hundreds of open-source packages and affected organizations including GitHub, Mistral AI, Mercor, the European Commission, and employee devices at OpenAI. ⠀ Google says operational security mistakes later helped investigators identify an alleged TeamPCP member, with information passed to the FBI. Two Australians accused of being principal participants in TeamPCP were arrested last month.

IT’S FINALLY HAPPENING… U.S. stock exchanges are preparing for 23-HOUR weekday trading, with the rollout scheduled for December 6, 2026. Important details you need to know: – The planned trading week runs from Sunday at 9 p.m. through Friday at 8 p.m. Eastern, with a one-hour break between weekday sessions for maintenance and processing. – The regular 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. session stays. Nasdaq is adding an overnight session from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., connecting it to its existing extended hours. – December 6 is also when the shared market-data infrastructure is scheduled to expand. That allows approved exchanges to extend their hours; it doesn’t automatically put every exchange on the same schedule. – Your broker will still decide which services it offers overnight. Check what your account actually supports before assuming you can trade whenever you want. – The catch: fewer buyers and sellers overnight can mean wider spreads and bigger price swings. Being able to trade at 2 a.m. doesn’t guarantee you’ll get a good price. – Overnight price bands are part of the safeguards being introduced. Orders outside those limits will be rejected, but that won’t eliminate liquidity risk. – Full 24/7 trading, including weekends, could come later. The SEC’s trading and markets director called it a possibility. There’s no announced launch date for that step.

In London tests, messages traveled more than 150 km through the MeshCore network. The same technology could be used for Bitcoin transactions. A signed Bitcoin transaction is a small piece of data. It could travel over LoRa radio, hop through repeaters and eventually reach a gateway connected to a Bitcoin node, which could broadcast it to the network. I wouldn't say that what he did, releasing all those zero-days, was normal, but he felt he had no other option because of the injustice Microsoft did to him. They fired him, and you can read the vague reason they gave in the email sent to him by the Vice President of Engineering at MSRC, below. According to Abdel's account, VP Tom Gallagher met with him after the firing to tell him they were blacklisting him from Microsoft and writing him a bad reference so he'd never be able to get a job again. Normally you'd think, well, big deal, just find another job, right? But Abdel doesn't have a European passport, and he was only a couple of months away from getting permanent EU residence. So instead of granting him those couple of months, Microsoft fired him for a reason that, as far as we can tell, was never made clear, then fought him in court and offered him €55,000 plus a year's pay to drop the case. All while Abdel was releasing zero-days. Abdel continued suing Microsoft for unfair termination in Germany, a fight that has cost him over $200,000. He says Microsoft refused to reveal any details about the security breach and went another direction.
