I'm saying it makes sense to choose one place for a main platform. I don't think X is suitable for that. If people decide not to use that main platform then I guess they won't be heard. It's always a choice.

I've been in at least a dozen different platforms to try to get information. I only ever find out about info I need through happenstance, and now I'm explaining this on a platform with character limits. This is not direction

There is no direction. It's a chaotic mess and it doesn't need to be. It's possible to build a space to create focus and still keep the decentralised on chain vote. The latter is already guaranteed.

@InASingleWord Don't get me wrong that was an honest question and I actually was interested in your answer so thank you for that. I do agree in part that the language should be looser. Automatic no is perhaps too restrictive as there could be a valid reason for not wanting to.

@dannyribar @JaromirTesar @kostas_panagias Exactly there was a logical path drawn out. 1: Debate and vote to assign values to buckets. 2: Debate and vote to assign buckets to competing executing bodies (experts). 3. Executing bodies choose and fund proposals for their bucket. 4: Rinse, repeat.

@JaromirTesar 2 hours is ridiculous. In any professional setting, business, or government, evaluating a single project would take days. Also this would be done with expert input based on a specific stated need.

@JaromirTesar No good choice. Do your best to fund in the chaos or choose not to fund at all which is also bad. We tried to create a proper system but got so much pushback last year. People fought for this chaos over bureaucracy. Interesting times

@JaromirTesar I have run large volunteer organizations. It works great at first. Eventually novelty wears out and the work becomes real. People leave or coast. This is too important to have that happen. Thanks for taking the time to bring these things up

@yutazzz It's an interesting calculator, thank you. I undertsand the rationale for the N parameter but find it problematic. It creates a non meritocratic outcome if used and keeps new DReps from entering. If we gear everything towards plutocracy we will eventually be captured.

@JaromirTesar @mr_cata I appreciate everything you are saying but I don't think the "ADA" cost decreasing is going to help. The cost involved in governance is in time - time spent and attention given. Once regular people have more at stake (more assets on chain), they will care enough to sacrifice time
