@ProperJess Finally, the fancy beekeepers take home the prize. They congratulate each other and Carmilla can’t contain an eye roll. Instead of circulating around the whole room she hovers around the AIM agents who are too elated to notice the young woman shoving crab puffs in their faces.

It’s by far the cleanest dirty auction she’s ever been to. Then again, Carmilla could count them on one hand. She gives her tie, and more subtly her wig, one more adjustment before heading out to the main room with her tray. The best way to figure out everyone’s deal is to mingle

@ProperJess The woman throwing herself into the bidding war is a stranger. Yet, there's something about her... Either way, she's an unforseen variable. Carmilla retreats back to a wall. She doesn't need to notice, only observe. The AIM agents glare daggers at Jessica.

@ProperJess They murmur amongst themselves that the Scientist Supreme would reward them for bringing her the sample. The bidding begins in earnest and the AIM agents are eager to win, bidding recklessly. Good, that's what Carmilla was counting on. AIM she can handle.

@ProperJess -The thick red liquid is tinged with green where the light catches it. Carmilla holds her breath. It’s real, she knows it. It has to be. “<This is a rare sight indeed. A sample of the original Hulk, Bruce Banner! Recovered from the doctor’s own lab, this is quite the specimen.>”

@ProperJess A few young people win the auction for the arrows. Someone murmurs that it’s nothing exciting, they show up for sale every few months. But Carmilla isn’t paying attention as the next item is brought out. The vial is kept in a glass case, but it’s clearly displayed.-

@ProperJess -Stupid, Carmilla. This is unbelievably stupid. She takes a deep breath to steady herself. Well, if it is real she has to make sure her mother doesn’t get her hands on it.

@ProperJess Her ‘borrowed’ uniform allows Carmilla to mingle freely throughout the crowd without raising suspicion. Nobody makes eye contact with the help, after all. Then a few people dressed with yellow accents catch her eye. “$&?!” She mutters under her breath. Of course AIM is here.-

@ProperJess a bundle of Hawkeye’s arrows. Bored murmurs spread through the crowd.

@ProperJess After awhile the glitz wore off. It’s all fake anyway, the glamor, the people, most of the auction items. No, not all of them. It has to be real. Carmilla resists the urge to scratch at her wig. Finally, the bidding for the item before the vial starts,

whatever the cost. And so, she sits in the questionable hostel just trying to be a little more patient and quietly humming along to Bono’s voice. Lord knows she still hasn’t found what she’s looking for, whatever that is.

Now Carmilla is back on what she knows is a wild goose chase. Rumors floated around that someone was selling the Hulk’s blood on the black market here. It’s almost assuredly fake, but if, /if/, there’s even the slightest chance it’s authentic she has to get her hands on it,
