@Motiondyor @rhmnstr990 No, you blanch the potatoes in a fryer at a low temperature so the inside of the fries are cooked, cool them, to stop the cooking process, then fry them at 350 Fahrenheit to crisp them up.

@ChefReactions I have been cooking for 23 years in Chicago and I spent some time in a couple of Michelin starred kitchens and I’ll never do it again. Too many egos, expected to work 14+hours a day. I got fired from one for requesting the weekend off to stand up in my friends wedding.

@MonotoneFootbal Big star has decent Mexican food, and has $4 shots of decent bourbon/tequila/mescal that rotate. Small cheval has a decent burger, but not what it once was. Nisei Lounge is a great hole in the wall bar. Sheffields is a couple of blocks south and has decent bbq and beer choice

@tlucas1305 @CardPurchaser You can also take the blue line from rosemont to downtown and it should only take about 45 min or so. The blue line is a 10 min walk or a short Uber from where the national is being held

@bonerhitler I took the 4th of July weekend off as I came up on a last second ticket to the NASCAR race here in Chicago. That Sunday from midnight to noon, we got more rain then we usually do in the entire month of July.
